You guys talking bout the apt's right off of boot rd, there is an 7-11 and an old mobil gas station on the corner?
    Modified by 03VDUB at 5:25 AM 9-22-2003

Yup. Those are the ones...I saw all three dubs in there yesterday:
The new girls' Silver Golf, a Red Golf (GTi? Can't tell from that far), and a black GTi (ALL MK4's). All parked in the front lot closest (and on the same side of) the 7-11.
I live in those townhouses up the street.

    Hey Steve/Scubavr6...
Good to see you on here...remember doing the timing chains for me???

Hey, i'm headed to Victory tomorrow (9/23/03) at around 8pm (20:00), not a GTG just going for some beers and a free pint glass. Hopefully i'll see some other dubs.

Nater, i think i saw you on Friday on King road, you were headed towards Ship road and i was headed towards exton stations. it was dusk out and both flew by each other, i saw last minunte and stuck my arm out to wave. Was that you?

    Hey,
Maybe I'll scoot down to Victory at 8pm just to meet you then grab a beer...Maybe two .

    Anyway,
No, that wasn't me. But it should have been...
Cause that's my stomping grounds, I live right down the road, but I was at the Phillies game. I was on King Road at exactly 5:30 that day...but it was me and the wifey and we were headed into Malvern to meet someone.
It certainly wasn't dusk at 5:30...

So, I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. But I usually notice dubbers (most of the time after they pass - but I still notice them in the rearview) so I would have remembered if you waved...

Sometimes I get lazy about noticing mk4 golfs/gti's cause from the front it's hard to tell...of course I would have noticed the 337 before you passed me tho.
So, now I'm positive it wasn't me...

But I've got my eyes peeled these days with all of the dub sightings in Malvern and West Chester of late.

I try to start a new thread with every sighting...

you know what, it wasactualy 5:30pm b/c i leave work at 5pm and i left early friday, so i MUST have been there at 5:30, no clue where i got "dusk" from. it was an MK3 black gti with what looked like HIDs, you turned right off of King from what i saw in my rearview. I think it had to have been you. But also, we FLEW by each other, i barely noticed the other car.
Unless there are a few black mk3 gti's around....

    Well,
I've got the HID's...but they are retrofitted PROJECTORS in MK4-Looks.
They aren't in my Hella Dual Rounds (as profile says).
So, if the guy had HDR's then it wasn't me.

But there is ONE OTHER GUY right in that area...Think he lives right off of King and Ship. An older guy (meaning in his 30's or even 40...at least from what I saw) with a very nice MK3 Black GTi...looked like the paint was in showroom shape.

Has mk4-looks as well (no hids tho) and some type of aftermarket exhaust.

I was at that 4 way stop (king and ship) with him (facing me) one day...I'm waving at him and he TOTALLY blew me off and proceeded to drive very fast through the intersection. Almost like he was showing off...so I knew he saw me.

Looked like a tall guy (could tell his upper body/head was way up against the roof). Maybe you saw him? I'm not quite as tall at *only* 6'. This guy could have been 6'4 or 6'5.

    Anyway,
I'll be out in force soon .

yea i couldn't tell really, i couldn't even tell what type of HIDs, i just saw that they were not stock mk3 headlights. like i said, we FLEW by each other. after i passed him, he turned right off of king road, may have turned right onto ship or may have turned right off of king onto a side road. i think he turned off King before he got to SHip, but whatever, no biggie, was just going to say what's up.

anyway, maybe i'll see you tomorrow at Victory, i posted directions for anyone who doesnt know how to get there on the October 7th Victory GTG thread. i can post them here too if anyone wants.

I am Steve. I have a 96 g3 vr that has the usual bolt ons and 268's. I'm not a d!ck about aftermarket stuff unless the aftermarket stuff causes the problem that you're trying to get covered under warr. I know these cars like the back of my hand. I built ryvr6's car and just got home from doin turboit's tranny and wheel bearings.

Yeah Steve is the man! I owe you big time man!

if it's stock parts that cause the problem like an o2o, what do you do then?

And he does know Mk3s very well even though he seems to call em gen 3s.

I might have to roll out with you guys, I dont know when my car will be done. Actually if there is anyone in the area...Would someone mind hooking me up with a ride to pick my car up at Tom's in West Chester so I can head down to H2O. The new clutch kit should be in the car by the end of the day Friday.
