Since I don't think that Cherry Bomb makes an OEM application for Mk 2 Golfs, some modification will be needed.
The mounting location is going to be different, you'll need a 1.75", (stock diameter I think), to a 2.5" step up piece, and since the cherry bomb is probably shorter or longer than the stock muffler, you'll need to shorten or extend the pipe between the resonator and the muffler.
This is why people pay for a direct fit system from TT or Eurosport, they sound and perform better, and are an easy upgrade especially if your welding/modifying/custom fabrication skills are at a minimum.
dude its your car but an 8 valve with a cherry bomb just sounds like ****. the douche that owned my old golf put one on it and its just something you just dont do to a vw lol
