I bought a '93 SLC October of 2013, and damn, it's been a roller coaster since then. I know my title says "semi noob", and that really makes me laugh. It really means that I'm a semi noob to the forums, since I've owned a 94 Jetta, 90 Passat, 85 scirocco, 67 bug and 63 bug. I've worked on all of them, and they all have a special place in my heart. I just don't post like talking about it, but I must say, I took this car out tonight and I was moved to write this. What is it about this car that makes me want to spend my money and time on it? Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, cause I got one from the original owner and it's unmolested, the way I like them. Is it perfect? Hell no. But is it perfect? Hell yeah. I want to make this car my daily driver, just like I did all my previous VW's, but I won't, I will save this one. My Camry takes me where I need to go, the Corrado where I want to go. I will keep her stock and pure, because after all this time, she deserves that. It's been at least 12 years since I've owned a VW, so I thank all of you on the forums for all of your hard work and posts: I've learned a lot from many of you. I hope to one day to give back. But really, this car is unlike any I've ever owned. Despite any issues, I consider myself fortunate to own such a unique vehicle, and damn, is it a blast to drive...
