Well it has been awhile and as we are slowly starting to emerge from our winter cocoon, it is time for a little GTG.
Everyone is welcome, of course. The more, the merrier.
Nothing but a meet, greet and eat.

Here are some photos from this year's Bug-A-Palüza 14 Show. I have a bunch more on Flickr. Hope to take some more today if it warms up and the wind dies down.
It really is awesome. Tons of cool people, lots of sweet Dubs. It was my 2nd year, as well as Michelle's. My friend Summer came up and went for her first show. As for the awards, I scored awesome points with my factory grill and won first place for the stock category!
:thumbup::laugh:
Battery light came on today. Now looking at it having to get a new alternator according to the Mav and Madman.
Indy can make a full trip up to Chattanooga for Bug-A-Palüza, but can't go from the apartment to the house without a MIL... :banghead::screwy::banghead::screwy:
Had a blast this weekend in Tenn, there were some sharp looking cars out there at the show. Congrats to Matt and Michelle on the trophy's!
Pulling my exhaust manifold today, either one of the gaskets is blown out or the manifolds cracked somewhere. Whichever it is I hope to fix that pesky leak and end the noise! Should be an interesting day.
*Got the manifold off and it was leaking from welds on the flange on cylinders 1 and 4, took it to my managers house and he welded them up for me. Looks leak free, can't wait to put it on!
This weekend will be starting on my teardown of the front end to see what going on with the motor. The engine will not hold water anymore... poured a gallon of water into the reservior and it all ran out the downthe front of the motor
Test drove some new VW's today, can't decide whether to put my hard earned money into the Golf or a new car...the Jetta TDI is a nice ride, esp with the 6spd manual.

Also looking forward to SoWo. Looks like this year is going to be out in the "over flow" lot that was used last year.
Info has been posted up on SoWo's site.
Here's a layout of the grounds for this year:
I think we should set up somewhere towards the main road early Saturday so we can get the tent and chairs in place. Mav, if you have stakes for the tent that'd be great.

Since you will be there Friday, I can give you the tent.
The tricky part will be for you to save us the correct number of car spaces so we can all hang together.
We will get a final car count at the GTG so we will all be prepared.
Thoughts?
Oil change extravaganza at my place this weekend. I am doing both cars if anyone wants to come by and make sure I am doing it right.
Not sure which day yet.
Know of any good interior shops in or around Athens? I have a headliner that is falling because of the heat and riding with windows down all the time time. I got a quote from a guy up here in Habersham for bout 300-400 dollars and thats with some stuff that's not an exact match to the factory.

It'd be cheaper just to do it yourself. Find a fabric ya like and let us know. I did that to mine...and it wasn't sagging! lol Just dirty and was tired of looking at it.
I will see what I can do bout the g2g, I have been out of doing anything to my car since my last one that I totaled. Been finding other things to spend money beer on and trying to get out of the passat into a T-reg.
My headliner has been like this for bout 2 years but now it's starting to come down all around the edges so I figure it's bout its time.
Got the latest issue of "eurotuner" (06/12) in the mail last week, started reading it today and found out that THIS IS THE LAST ISSUE.
They will be online only.
They may end up combining with European Car but that is down the road.
Bummer.
Mav.
