Hey guys I was looking through all the capital area threads and thought that maybe we needed an official thread for Lynchburg like most others have. Call it inappropriate if you will, but I just had to.
Well I`m working local this week so I might come down and hang out for a bit tomorrow . I was thinking about bringing that Subie turbo I spoke of last week with me . The number on it is TD04L for reference . Thought maybe JT or Eric might want a spare .
I live in Roanoke, but I like to drive so delivery or meeting halfway is not a problem.
Selling a set of BBS RXii's. I bought these as a "restoration" project and decided I would rather spend my free time doing things I like to do, and refinishing wheels is not one of them.
All 4 wheels are structurally in good condition. There are no gouges or rash on the barrels. The faces are in good physical condition as well. The finish on all 4 wheels is anything but good. These RXii's suffer from the typical clear coat peel on the barrels and the previous owner decided to cover the lips of the barrels in silver paint to match the faces. This probably worked ok for about a month, but now the paint flaking off in giant silver chunks looks worse than if he had left the polished aluminum alone.
...Anyway I am including a brand new container of stripper as well as after wash to aid in your refinishing of these wheels. I have also gone through the trouble of removing all 64 wheel bolts.
It isn`t that bad Jon , Mine were that bad when I started . You know the drill , start with the coarse grit paper and work to the fine stuff , then polish polish polish .
yes it is a lot of surface corrosion, but the chunking off paint makes it appear more difficult to undertake than it should be. Let's make a deal, the wookiee needs money spent on it
Ah, those pesky R brakes. I will do you a favor and trade you my GTI brakes so that your steelies will work. I'm just a regular good guy is all. Thanks.
if you want the wheels, i am glad to hold till next weekend for you. I will be in lynchburg next saturday, but can meet any other day pretty much. whatever works for you, I will try and accommodate.

i would consider this, but I am an even better guy and I am going to save you the never ending chore of cleaning brake dust off of your wheels. :snowcool:
