..nah just about time...the mad town kids are always so lippy, and selfrightous, its hard to have an intelligent conversation, or share knowldege. plus they dont understand sarcasam...at all.... must be the generational gap.
Ben- keep the Gruman, you will want another one in a year anyway and yes, bag the brown truck. I also think you should make it look like a mk4 so it doesn't look out of place on bags.....
Thanks, I look forward to drivign the 914, needs a little work but it's rust free.
My rabbit was a neuspeed cup car, then race in some MARRS series races as an ITB car. I just autocross and track day it. they are so fun.
Yours certainly looks to be on another level though. That wouldnt be the car that led some of the valvoline runoffs a few years ago would it? I have that race recorded.

There are two distinctly different groups of H2O VW guys in STL. One group is a bunch of young guys who are enthusiastic about their EMM-KAY VEE-EYE's, which I respect. However, they have never had the joy of throwing a rabbit through snow banks, or the comfort of recaros in an A2 GLI, or repainting the steel louvers in the back window of your early Scirocco. Sadly they have missed the real depth of awesomeness in the VW family. I'm glad they dig a 'dub, even if it's not really capturing the soul.
The other group doesn't have anything newer than '98 and we race anything. We're the guys who buy the old cars for $200 and drive them until they sputter, drop in a new motor, then keep going.....and every VW is a racecar, including the doo-doo brown 30 hp diesel 4-door rabbit on stock 13" wheels.
The orange rabbit is owned and driven by Chuck Mathis, and much like our drag car (the white A2), it was built by committee. Our little circle of knuckleheads have produced all sorts of auto-x champs, several SCCA roadracing champs (including the orange car above) and even a rally car or two.
When the novelty of this one wears off, we'll be back to bumping it to get it out of interwebs lost too I'm sure. But until then, I'm going to be in Madcity this saturday night for some carousing at the High Noon Saloon for the Drunk Drivers show. They have never once let me down for a kick ass WTF happened last night kinda time.I expect to see at least some of you there....
