Ok, I think I've finally found my beer. After months of research, I've determined that I'm a Blue kinda guy. Corona is too damn expensive, Red Cap, good initially but tastes like cack after 4, Samuel Adams , The Pleasure pack ist too bad, it comes with a free tall boy
So please post what you buy, and reccommendations, opinions, and so on.

Depends on the mood or reason for drinking. For sitting watching some tv, it's Keith's, going out to a party definately black ice. Other's would include Moosehead, Rickards pale and honey brown. And from the LCBO my fav Hogarden or something like that

If you're looking for cheap, Miller High Life is it.

If you're looking for cheaper, buy a 1.18L(?) bottle. It's the biggest one they sell, it's equal to 3.5 or 4 pints, and they're $4.50 PER. Can't beat that.

Stella is my fav ! Becks, Heineken, and Lowenbrau are great too.

A really good wheat ale is Grasshopper !

All of these on tap are better than in bottles though.

Nothing, cause we don't have beer stores here anymore. But at the liqour store:

Ales: Newcastle, Sleeman's Dark (you can't get Pyramid pale or Sierra Nevada here)
Stout: Guinness
Lager: Beck's, Tecate

I obviously had to vote for Heineken, after all we do make the best beer.
Another beer worth mentioning is South Africa's, castle lager. You can find it in most LCBOs... Ahhhh the good 'ol days.

I really enjoy Caffrey's, but it's hard to find, so I just drink Guinness. I've found once you start drinking stout, it's hard to return to regular watery ale.

I tried Malt Liquor a few weeks ago . . . had Black Bull, can't complain about the price ($3.95) or the size (1.18L) or the effects . . . . too bad about the taste though. I swear I could strip paint with that junk.

That's funny you guys should say that, I was just having this conversation with someone the other day.
I don't think it's the actual beere itself, but more of what your stomach used to. I drink Stella, Heiny, Sleemans, and the rare Bud, but as soon as I drink a Canadian or a Blue I feel like someone set off a bomb in my stomach. Funny thing is, is that the people I know who drink Canadian and Blue say the same thing when drinking Bud, Stella, Heiny, and so on.
Anyways, my number one choice has to be Stella - so clean and refreshing!

Okocim! I bought a few bottles last year and loved it! I went back the the local LCBO and they no longer carried it. I'm such a goon I forgot the name of it and I've been driving myself nuts trying to remember it. TurboNasty, I owe you a beer for bringing up the name.

I always keep a 2-4 of John Labatt Classic in the house. It's my go-to beer I guess. Beyond that I'll usually buy a couple of specialty beers and give them a try.

Honestly guys, give Okocim a try, it's very good!

Sweet yes, but dry at the same time. Yummy! Nothing better than a cold Strongbow on a hot summer's day. I only wish I could find Blackthorn Dry somewhere.

Blue Blue Blue... i've been drinking it for a loooooog time now, sometimes i go for Creemore though. A nice fresh bottle of Creemore can really hit the spot, and they have the smaller bottles now too!

oh wait, that's not a beer... and I've never had it either.
My vote goes to Heineken, but damn is it expensive.
When I'm not drinking Heineken I'll usually go with a Molson Dry (can get it at any restaurants).

And come to think of it, I really like Sleeman's Honey Brown too. Haven't had it in a while though. Kind of expensive too.

It's interesting to see the varied tastes out there.

to Hoegaarden when near the LCBO.

Otherwise it's Kilkenney which is on sale at $8.45 for 4 tall cans (reg is $9.50), and it's St. Paddy's Day.

Guinness is now available in bottles with a widget that releases nitrogen for the perfect draught-like taste and pour straight from the bottle.

Can you guys in ontario get 10% 40s? That's pretty much all I drink. Granted they taste very harsh, you get used to them, and you can't beat the buzz for the price. Unfortunetly, things can get very messy if you have more than one.

Black bull seems to be the best tasting 10. Lucky Force 10 is probably the worse tasting one I've had. Then again, the taste isn't the point.

on my way to Blue Mountain today i stopped by the Creemore Brewery. I've drinken creemore many times before at bars and have purchased it from the Beer store as well. But coming straight from the brewery was the freshest beer i have ever had the opportunity to drink... it's so good!!! still have five left

well i will have to be the first. Nothing for me. i am not beer drinker. Don't like the taste.

but mind you after 2 or 3 you can't taste it anyway.

i had stella on a cruise a few years ago and it was not bad. cheap there too.

I haven't been to the beer store in a while. I do most of my "shopping" at the LCBO.
But I usually grab a bubba of Becks or some cans of bavaria. And on those light afternoons when I just feel like kickin back I'll drop $2.85 on some Creemore.

Right now it's hard to argue with Labatt Extra Dry... 24 bottles for $24.

Made me kinda goofy tonight. Sure the first 4-5 may not taste like what you're used to, but you save some $$. And that saved money can be used downtown... where you can get ripped off and not even care, after you've tossed back 12 beers for a buck a bottle.

Also love Upper Canada beers, especially the Wheat beer in the summer, with a lemon twist, so refreshing


Doesnt' get more Canadian than those two beers IMHO!

My faves are Heineken, Kilkenny, Lowenbrau, Corona and Harp. Beer Stores or not, they're my favorites if I have to choose among beers. Oh...Stella is good too ;-)

1.18L Max Ice its 7.1% and theres a lot of it for $3.50

Coors or MGD on a hot day, nice n light
Alexander Keiths or Boddington's at the pub
Upper Canada Dark Ale with steak

Also good: Beck's, Heiny, Stella, and that Raspberry stuff I dunno what its called, its not bad.
