Don't be shy...list all the cars you have ever owned!« »

I'm sure this has been asked a few times before but I obviously missed it so here it is again

Please tell us your age and then list your cars in order and feel free to tell us how much you paid and any other stuff you'd like us to know about them

I am 23 and have had 8 cars...

1987 Dodge Shadow $800 - First car, flipped it over
1988 Dodge Daytona Turbo $800 - POS spent more time broken then running
1991 Escort GT $2300 - I actually liked this car
1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z $3800 - Put a nice paint job on it...beautiful car
1986 Chevrolet Chevette $350 - Winter ride
1996 Pontiac Trans Am $16,000 - Thought I was hot-**** getting a loan on my own when I was 19
1999 Hyundai Accent $2500 - Bought off of ebay with only 33K on it...to use for work
2003 Jetta TDI $20,745 - My first brand new car and how I love getting 45MPG

1986 VW Jetta GLI - great car with probably 300K on the engine...then mechanic killed it...traded it in for $4000, paid $4200 for it

1993 VW Fox Polo - great fun car...brother got it when he got married (shared car) and proceeded to thoroughly kill it in less than 8 mos. Got it new for $8000 and it was dead by 1998

1993 Subaru Legacy - great car, could have used the AWD system though. Logged close to 60K on that thing in 2.5 years. Paid $8000 for it, sold it for $2500 with a bad clutch and worn tires.

1991 Ford Ranger X-Cab - not a bad workhorse...has its quirks. Paid $2000 for it...probably going to sell it for upwards of $3000 soon.

1982 VW Rabbit Diesel - project car...details too many to list here...paid $50 for the car.

1979(?) Honda Civic Wagon
1980(?) Mazda GLC
1986 Toyota Tercel
1987 Ford Escort Wagon
1969 VW Van
1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
1997 VW Golf
The first 2 were cars my father bought for my sister & I to use while at university.
The Escort was a $200 purchase from my sister when I had no car or money. The Olds was a "gift" from my father when the sales guy wouldn't give him any trade in (he got an acura). Otherwise I would have never picked those cars.

'89 BMW 325is -- sold
'87 VW GTI 8v -- RIP.
The car maker kept it simple: Its trademark 3, 5 and 7 series coupes and sedans all had the same basic design. BMW's planners called the concept "Eine Wurst, drei Grösse" -- one wurst, three sizes.

1996 Mazda MX-6 Mystere LS V6 5-speed - Love it, cost me less than half what a new Civic would've cost, and all the Civic owners at my school are jealous

81 Mazda RX7 GSL high school car, drove the hell out of it; sold because my parents kept bitching about oil stains on the driveway
89 Honda Civic LX sedan college car, 2 keg trunk; my dad still drives it 190k miles and running
01 Honda Prelude graduating college, wanted something sportier than a Civic now that I could afford it
97 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4 thought I was going to be buying a boat, getting married, start family, etc. so a Prelude would be impractical
00 VW GTI GLX cheating girlfriend ended the 'getting married, starting a family' thing. single again, wanted a nice car with a little grunt behind it after driving a damn truck for 3 years

Hopefully I'l be breaking this trend and hold on to the GTI for a while.

The corrado is by far the best of the bunch in every possible category in which cars are judged. Well, I suppose the peugeot had more room.

25.

'76 Triumph TR-6 - truly awful, that one - not TR-6's in general.
'76 Pontiac Grand Prix & '74 Pontiac Grand Prix - First loves, wish I still had 'em.
'79 Oldsmobile Delta 88 - I actually broke the frame - a POS that looked nice but had some nasty secrets.
'72 MG Midget - Claustrophobic and unhappy.
'80 AMC Spirit - beaten up in the worst way, but still a runner.
'85 Cadillac Eldorado - not very good at anything except being comfy.
'84 VW Sciroccos (2) - neither here nor there.
'88 Ford Escort "Pony" - $300, ran like a top, sold it on very quickly.
'89 Ford Taurus - suitable for scrap metal drives only.
'74 MGB/GT - One of my very favorites, my reward for being a 90's tech lackey.
'60 Simca Aronde - never ran at all.
'64 Renault R4 - never ran properly.
'84 Datsun 200SX - deeply nice to drive, ugly to look at.
'89 Peugeot 405 S - one of the best cars I've ever owned, delightful to drive and be seen in.
'73 Citroën SM - too expensive to keep.
'91 Peugeot 405 Mi16 - Drove like a dream, Upkeep a NIGHTMARE.
'78 Fiat 128 - Cheap and cheerful, the car that hooked me on Italy.
'81 Fiat 131 Brava - Perhaps the best condition car I've ever had, damn good.
'86 Dodge Diplomat - Truly awful. The worst car I've ever had. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough.
'83 Bertone X1/9* - Great grin-inducing machine.
'81 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel* - the best car I've ever owned.
'79 Chevrolet Impala* - Nice, but can't get out of it's own way, and very needy.

* current

I can't do this, I keep adding ones that I've forgotten!

21 (Good year )

1989 Honda Civic SI (It's actually in Moron, Spain at the moment. No pictures consequently).

1998 Ford Escort Wagon SE (Inherited this one from my Grandfather. I use this one when I go Cycling, especially when I have to travel down dirt roads..which is often)

1997 Camry LE (This is my daily driver. When I go to the beach with more people than myself, I take this instead of the Escort...that car smells like feet )

2003 Jetta GLI (The reason I'm here! It's been an absolute gem. No rattles, no shakes, no shimmies, no CEL's, no broken coil-packs, no dead window regulators..just lots of fun!)

And in the corner is my starter bike..my 1981 (older than myself..he!) Honda CM400. I bought it for $250 bucks, spent 20 bucks on spray paint an primer and 140 bucks on parts. Should be good to go

Where is the "This thread is useless without pics" gif? It's always fun to see what other people drive

I'm 25

1987 Toyota Camry LE - from parents - gone
1990 Toyota Corolla DX - from parents - gone
2001 Saturn SC2 - bought when the Corolla got crushed by the crane
2002 VW Jetta GLS 1.8t - wife's car

I'd still have the Corolla today if it wasn't for that damn crane.

I'd love to know how you determined the soul coefficient of a car through online photos.

i'm 21 years old

1973 Superbeetle: pd $2000, sold $2500 - sold because i couldn't haul anything with it
1990 Corrado G60: pd $3000, sold $4500 - ate me alive with repairs, sold because i was going to marching band and couldn't do that plus pay the car payments (dumb idea to say the least)
1988 Scirocco 16v: pd 1300, traded for rabbit - didn't have it long enough to know anythign about it
1983 GTi: pd a scirocco and $1000, sold for $3500 (i think) - had twin webers and lots of other goodies. sold it because driving a race car every day got old
1988 Scirocco 16v #2: pd $1300, sold $1700 - this thing ate me alive worse on parts than the corrado did. i really shouldn't have bought this car but i dealt with what i got and sold it to a friend. it's quite solid now.

-The Awakening-

1990 Nissan 240SX: pd $3000 - my favorite car i've ever owned. i'll drop a new engine in it before i sell it
