Im gonna vote e55 cause its a beast and is very nice in and outside. However I wouldnt be surprised if many vote for the e39 M5 because of the manual tranny despite being the old man of this group.

The M5 is out of production now. I'd go for the E55.

E55..i love the new e-class...so classy Maybe the next gen M5 will be more appealing, but i think that the benz is a luxo supercruiser while the M5 is just trying to be a sports car in a sedan body (nothing wrong with that)

I wonder how many people would pick the RS6 if it had a manual.

AMG no doubt. I wouldn't want a manual with any of the cars listed even if they were available.

I would. Since it doesn't, I'll take the M5.
A good day is when your Range Rover doesn't display any fault codes:) Unfortunately, it still has a vacuum leak.

No soup for you! I've heard that the E39 M5's clutch isn't all that friendly. And besides, these cars have stump-pulling power even with the torque converters, so the RS6 would do just fine for me. The E60 M5 with SMG sounds like it'll be a nice compromise between the manumatics and the traditional stickshifts though.

E55, because its just a brute.....but the Audi and BMW definitely are more fun to drive. Regardless, I just like the E55. Maybe I should have skipped the M3 and STi and just bought an E55? Oh well, too late.

Performance wise it's hard to choose between the RS6 and the E9 M5. Both are extremely wonderful cars. So it boils down to personal preference. Personally I'd still take the M5 because of the RWD and manual.

E55 easily. The M5 looks very outdated to me, and Audis don't excite me in the least bit. Mercedes makes me swoon like a schoolgirl.

I would have chosen the RS6, but there is no manual transmission available. For that reason alone, I am sorry that I am forced to chose the M5. I just can't bring myself to "drive" an automatic.

As much as I love the RS6, I simply don't think it's that good of a value when compared to the E55, so I'd choose the Merc.

This is a very tough choice:The E55 has the Best engine, most power and is the fastest... The M5 has the best chasis and is fast enough... The RS6 I think has a nice combination of chasis / engine + its more unique. And i can image the turbo engine is easy to upgrade for more power.

Is that true that I heard: you can send the RS6 back to Germany and get it back with 700hp and a 6-spd stick for 30k?
