What's your fav. Nicolson part to date? So many, I'll post the more famous ones, and put an "Other" option and let you explain...My favorite role is his "You Can't Handle the Truth!!" in A Few Good Men

Jack Nicholson is one of my favorite actors.I first saw him (strangely enough) as Jake Gittes in Chinatown. That is still one of my favorite movies. I love his monologue at then end of A Few Good Men. However his best performance is in The Shining. He is able to capture the energy and feeling of complete insanity almost too well...

Tough call. He can be funny, he can be serious and he's in general a pretty talented guy. I'll tell ya, his rolls in Crossing Guard and Pledge were just played to absolute perfection. Very serious dramatic roles. Then there's the roles he played when he was younger like the above mentioned One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Five Easy Pieces. I have to say I like his more serious roles because he plays them so gripping, but it's way too difficult to pick just one.

Too many to pick. China Town and Easy Rider. Although I rented Anger Management the other night and thought the movie was hilarious. Great casting for that movie. I thought Jack basically played his real-life self in this movie and I enjoyed it. I could party with Jack any night.

I've said it before, Jack makes every movie he's in better. That said, as Melvin Udall in "As Good as it Gets", he simply steals the show & turns what might of been a so so romantic comedy into a instant classic.

one of the best movies ever made, and by far my favorite nicholson role. "A Few Good Men" comes in a close second. too bad it's not on the poll.. guess it's not that popular my parents made me watch it and i really liked it even though i'm just a young one (18).

I have to agree with the post above that Jack really has had no bad role. In fact as soon as I post my favorites I forget about some. China Town, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, Easy Rider are all classics. I haven't seen Five Easy Pieces but now I must watch it. I just watched Cuckoo's Nest for the first time this past year when I bought the DVD and I love that movie, great movie with a great cast and an unbelievable actor in Jack. I think Jack is in that untouchable league with Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Marlon Brando, Cary Grant, etc.

"Wolf" Also Michelle Pfieffer (sp), James Spader, playing a real slimeball. Entertaining flick. But have to go with As Good As it Gets, playing another character with 'issues'.
