What would be better for a winter tire? 185/ or 195/
going on a automatic cabrio HELP thanks!
Looking into getting the Michelin Arctic Alpin 195/60R-14 86Q
If you have 14" rims go with the 185-60-14 if you have 15 inch rims go with the 195-55-15. By the way, I had the Artic Alpins and I really dis-liked them in all but the really deep dry snow. They did horribly in the slushy wet snow. the tread pattern does not allow for good slush evacuation. This year I purchaced Semperit winter sports for my 96 gtivr6 and I got Hankook winter 404's for my 95 gtivr6. Both sets are 195-55-15. I wanted to do sort of a comparson test between the two. The Hankooks look to be a real serious snow tire. The Semperits seem to be more of a performance snow tire. I got both sets for the exact same price from discounttiredirect.com. Look into it, they are cheaper than the Michelins.

....Who was to say that what I was trying to accomplish with removing CIS-E and installing DTA would not result in a blasphmous act against the VW gods. And I think we can all attest that that CIS-E is indeed a venegful God. Anyone who has come anywhere near that that fuel distributer with a 3mm allen knows that reaching for the apple can have very dire consequences.
