For those who have wondered what the size differences in the OEM, OEM "Sport" and Eibach Pro-Kit springs are, here you go.Gary

nice side-by-side! were any of these loaded at anytime? it would prob be more scientific to show them with the same mileage.

Good point. The OEM regular had 167k miles and the OEM "Sport" and Eibachs had around 12k each. I doubt the mileage affects them that much, but if it did, the difference between the Sport and Eibach and the OEM regular would be even greater.Gary

Is that first spring the Eibach ProKit, not the Votex Drivergear?Because the Eibach part number printed on it is exactly the same as the Drivergear spring:
Hopefully this explains 5 years of confusion and total BS on this board.

They wouldn't be any of these, but closest to the one on the left in my picture. Now, does anyone agree that the Drivergear springs are Pro-Kit, with this evidence? Remember kids, internet conjecture is total garbage!

This is the box Eibach shipped my driver gear springs to the dealer in. One of the rumors I have heard is that the springs are the European version of the Prokit, if there is such a thing. Not sure if my box lends credence to that theory or not.

The first spring came in a Pro-kit box, so that's why I listed it that way. Gary

I could only get a number off the rear spring, Eibach OR3 EW 1540002HA That doesn't match the rear springs shown in Gary's post and I can't read the numbers on the springs in your post.

The dealer installed the springs, all I got back was the original box with my stock springs, no "datenblatt" unfortunately.

Here are the first 2 pages with part numbers and technical data:Page 1
 Page 2
The images might be a little blurry because they were resized to fit on a screen. IM me if youd like the full-size scans (which are larger than the paper ) You can translate the German (I did this once, my head still hurts) calculate the spring rate from here. Im not sure how precise it would be in practise but at least you could compare its rate to the factory rate. Im reading your post below, and you didn't understand the question AT ALL. I am asking if the VW/Eibach is the same as the Eibach Pro-Kit. It is different by one Eibach part number, which I would guess has more to do with inventory control than with design.
It's been SIX BLOODY YEARS can we PLEASE stop getting 'factory sport' mixed up with 'Drivergear VW/Eibach'????

The Eibach spring has 7 rounds and the other spring 6 -> they're not the same.I'm about to install eibach springs tomorrow on my golf variant so nice to see some comparison before that. I'll have to measure the difference between OEM and Eibach spring ride height.

the votex parts are not allways made by votex themselves, they also lend their name to products that they think are the best buy quality product and put there votex badges on it. ive also heard rumors that some votex rims are made by borbet. (don't worry you'll still buy the best)
