Today I called Autobarn Evanston about my continued issues with them- particularly the fact that they won't give me a copy of the 112 pt VW inspection-The VW Manager, said "call the service department have a nice day" and hung up immediately.
More acts of professionalism. I hope none of you have this sort of luck.

vw of america is such a joke. customer care is sad. it's all apologies and no action.
"dealers are independently owned....we can't do anything...." "maam, stop shipping them cars" "sir we can't do that...."
I KNOW! the dealer is YOUR CUSTOMER.
I'm the dealer's customer, and I'M SCREWED.
The car's stereo may need massive rewiring to find the problem.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH. only good news to report is this: a lawyer emailed me today and is willing to go forward (so it seems). VEE NEVER buy a car out of state.

Sorry to hear that I had bad experiences w/ autobarn. But one thing is for sure, they'll never see the color of my money again.

me and my sister have always had very good luck at west suburban in maywoodmaybe someone should give them a try instead of the "regulars" on here

Thats where i go. Get to know the guys there, especially in parts(Ask for Karol or Joey). Just mention you are in the CVO, and they take care of you awfully nice. I don't think i've paid list price for parts there in about 2 years  -Greg

You should be careful there too. Advertised one price for a used GTI confirmed the price, twice. Manager scratched quoted price and raised it $3k on the initial worksheet. Took my check out of his hand and ripped it in front of him. Walked out the door. That was four years ago and things could have changed. Just my experience.Edit: Never an issue with parts. They will give you pointers to help you out if you ask.

i regret getting the jazzy blue from there also. they won't even provide warranty on the front end anymore because of a minor collision. radiator fan had cut my power steering hose and they said it's because of the accident when jennings replaced it, no questions asked, because the part number wasn't for my car and the factory put the wrong one in. bald guy with glasses at the service desk is RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All you can do is try and find a dealership who will work with you, not against you. However, we live in a society where people are more dishonest than they have ever been. It's all about money. Nobody wants to take responsibility for their sale or their actions.
My friend called Autobarn for a quote on an R32 and the salesman said "if you don't come by, we're not quoting you a price". My friend said "well, my next stop, Liberty VW, have a nice day".
He's been happy ever since with his new R32.
Hopefully your jazz blue doesn't have any other issues buried in the car; you bought used right?
