hey guys winter is fast apporaching,and was thinking about what to do with my rear lights. need some feedback , should i go with half tinted / or full red rears

Its tough to say. I am a huge fan of all red but I don't know how it would look on a red c. Too much red maybe? I gotta see it to make a decision. Photochop!!

seems like it would look like my silver painted tails set that I have sitting in the cupboard. Too much of one color, when it matches your car. I dont know though, silver tails on a silver car is a lot different than red on red.

Forget the all red deal, i have a Red Corrado and i did my ambers tinted(dark) and then put a gloss coat on top of it all.This looks good because you have a black back piece that your license plate mounts on. Doin' it all red is too much.....looks shitty too if you do it wrong.

One other thing... take off your black side moldings...they stick out like a sore thumb, my car looks much better with no moldings and red door handles.

had mine all red for nearly 2 years.
 i had tinted before that, i think this is way cleaner.

whatever color you chose, i recommend not touching the reverse lights so you still have 'em when you need 'em. box 'em off carefully with masking tape and paint whatever you feel like painting, or one night when you back into something you'll be pissed! also be sure to spray a light coat and use testors glossy clear coat after painting them to be sure the color is glossy and stays that way over time...or you may eventually wash off all your paint and the lights will look like shite!

very true. I smoked my ambers and did not put a clear coat on when I was done. They looked great for a couple months and then started to fade and look like poop. When I go to do it again, I will take my time and do it right. It is very hard to do with a spray can though, I wish there was a better way. There was someone on vortex that was offering his professional services but haven't heard or seen of him in a little while.

Tint the ambers, leave the rest, thats what i did. Also dont tint your reverse lights, looks good not tinted and if you get pulled over the dumb cops wont think that you messed with your tailights because the reverse isnt covered. I would send you a pic of mine on my red C but i dont have a scanner

I'm going to smoke tint the top half of mine and paint the plate surrounding the same color as the car (classic metallic green). That way I won't defeat my rear fogs any  .

Thats a tough question. I have half smoked half reds .. i like em. Both look good in my opinion, fully smoked and fully red.
