I am not surprise. It is an awesome car, but to buy one comes with one huge attitude.

Similar to the Enzo, but better looking from what I can see in this pic.

Need more pics without obstructions.

I believe it's supposed to be a 'street race version' or something of the like.

The FXX is not street legal. It has no taillights. 4 exhaust tips come out of where the tail lights are in the enzo. Plus is comes with slicks, and is strictly for racing.

There are more (and much larger) pics at this link:

It's still pretty ugly, IMO. Although, the rear does look better than regular Enzo.

Who the heck is actually racing it? I thought it was more of a test mule that happens to be released to a few very select customers for testing. So I would think track days would be about the only real option (don't want to be swapping paint with another car on track if you can help it!)

So if driving a Miata makes someone "gay", does driving an Escalade make someone "black"? Think about it.

According to two magazine articles i've read, the 20 preselected owers will have opportunities to race them at ferrari hosted tracks. With the price tag of 2million comes assistance from ferrari techs at their bidding, and the honor of joining ferrari's racing team.

They are rumored to only make about 20 cars, John Shirley (from Microsoft) is likely to get one. The factory is only opening up orders to those in the "Enzo Cliente" list, with a first right of refusal of sale.

And we wonder why Lamborghini built his own car.....

I do understand the Ferrari's position though. They do not want the car to fall in the hands of rich but stupid drivers.

There is reason why FXX drivers will become voluntary test drivers who will not only drive the car around their favorit track but also participate in Ferrari sponsored driving days at circuits like Monza. Not bad, when the ownership of a supercar comes with private driving lessons from Forumula One team. In return Ferrari will use date logged in each machine to better the development of their future supercars. Makes total sense.

In the world of fierce competition of any products and services, at often times, differentiation means making your product or service stand out just six degree more than the competition. Boutique service always works beacause there are plenty of rich people out there who are and have been willing to shell out extra $$ in order to experience something that isn't available anywhere even if it means nothing else was gained except the gentle stroke on their egos.

Can you blame them? It looks like they were setting up for the private unveiling that was held Saturday evening. I was there and there was a bold sign at the door that asked that no video taping or photography take place. Although as soon as Sergio Pinin Farina and Phil Hill took the wraps off the FXX there were several cameras flashing away and nobody said a word so I went back out to my rental car and grabbed my camera and snapped away too. I'll have pictures very soon
