Saying goodbye to my baby....« »

My "relationship" is finally about to end, after more than 3 years i'm taking my car back to the dealer since i'm moving to Germany on Sunday. I've had a blast and been more than satisfied with my car, 73000 km behind and the only problem has been 1 changed left rear lightbulb, in almost 3½ years!

The car is not that special, just dropped a bit and 18" wheels, tried to keep it simple. But don't worry, i have my eyes set for the new Jetta GLI! The concept will be basically the same, this time though chipped so the difference in power is going to be quite big

So the bumper strips were installed afterwards? Did you sell it directly to Veho (M-B dealer) or how?

Anyway, where in Germany are you moving to?

BTW, I don't think GLI will be offered in Germany...

The rub strips are original Volkswagen, bought the Chrome Package which included chrome along the bumpers and the sides, as well as on the grille.

Yeah, i sold it to the M-B dealer, got a good deal since our company bought an other car from them

I've decided to get my car so that it's registered from Jan 2006, no point in getting the car now and in a few months it's already one year old Plus that i will have time to reassure that IF the GLI gets here i'm going to get it

I moved to Haan, just outside Düsseldorf

Oh, OK. The black handles just made me think you installed the strips yourself.

That is the only MK4 I have seen that I actually like the look of the chrome mirrors. Nice car.

Thank you for the compliments, thought that not more chrome than this, then it would be a bit too much just tried to balance it

Your current Bora looks great! I'm sure the new GLI will suit your needs just as well. I'm sure you'll grow to love it as much as you did the MK4
