I saw the rabbit commercial yesterday, it has a lot of rabbits driving around and noticed what seemed to be a new harlequin rabbit the panels were painted white, black, gray. and there were like 3 variations. Is there any news on a harlequin rabbit coming out? or is vw they just messing with us?

I just saw that commercial too, I think its because they are all reproducing so since the colors mixed to make babies thats what came out. My guess. . .

Yep, I would say that's the idea. Since the other rabbits go under a dark bridge and they show a bird and a bee and then the harlequin pops out with them, I would say that is the insinuation. It still looked pretty damn cool though, maybe someone will make one.

Well the 2007 GTI Change points mention a special edition GTI so ya never know. I doubt they are refering to the US 25th Anniv as thats probably gonna be a 2008 model.

I just saw the commercial and the whole primis is how fast "Rabbits" re-produce. The commercial starts w/a black and white rabbit, the "harlequin" is their offspring.....

All i know is depending on how these drive, i may want to get one to take to college so i can use regular gas for once. I really like the commercial though and that they are using the rabbit badge again

I just saw it too, and I bet there will be a Harlequin, timing seems right to make one of those weird buggers again.

The harlequin in the commercial is sweet. If they make it though, it needs brighter colors. It's just not the same in gray, silver, black and white.

Also note on the VW Features site, you can "breed your rabbit".The sexiest harlequins are between black and reflex silver, but some hot ones can be made with tornado red and black.
I'm gonna post a poll in the Car Lounge if nobody else has about this... Oh, and QcGTI, that's a Dutch Harlequin. Dutch are hard to get the pattern (the white area) right, Harlequins are hard to get the pattern (the rings, IIRC) right, and Dutch Harlequin... you have to get both. Very easy to screw up, and the end result of a screwed up one is pet quality and sells for a lot less.

What your thinking of is an ad they have from VW.I made this up. Very close to the one from VW.

Yep, i want one. And if they don't offer it, how hard would it be to get a group of five? new rabbit owners together and trade body parts, to mix up the colors ourselves?BTW, the song is "The Birds and the Bees" by Patrick and Eugene, on their album "Postcard from Summerisle."

it would be very easy. the door skins come off on the mkV. so you dont have to remove the whole door.

My friend went to check out and test drive a Rabbit and told me that the sales guy confirmed the Rabbit will be offered as a Harlequin in grey-scale, but just like the original, it will be offered in limited numbers. So, get your hands on one fast if you want one. My g/f is at a good point to trade in her car for one, hopefully we can get our hands on one soon.
