The reason most people don't like s/c's is most of em are slow. Its sort of a self-fullfilling prophecy in that no one tries to make em fast cause everyone says they are slow go turbo. Funny thing is most turbo street cars don't even run in the 11's

just re-read the thing...only 105mph, sounds like it had ALOT more in it if it wasnt for your breakage... DAMN

As for the car in Florida - he did go in the 11's and was regarded as having been the previous record holder. There is also a car in Sweden with a s/c and nitrous that has gone in the 11's as well. I don't know anyone else that has gone faster than 11.9x though.

With that ET, that's about 340-350whp or so.

What happened to you on the top end? Were you bracket racing this late in the season or misshift into 4th and just gave up?

That is why the trap speed was low.

Didnt make it back to the track yet due to weather and schedule. Besides I am waiting for Sam to beat me so I know how fast I need to go Just been dailying it and waiting to go to the track. Hopefully going to acto one of these days.

Well you will have to wait a little longer as i am doing a complete fuel system makeover. New cell, pump, lines, ect. Last time on the dyno ran out of fuel at 5000 rpm I think i can run in the 11,40's @120 but will see. Can't wait to get back out there!!!! Oh and still on stock motor with 205,000 miles Pic for fun below

I'm going to venture a guess that last day of the year the track conditions were less than ideal. Once the temp drops down past 50F it gets hard to keep enough heat into the track to keep it sticky. That and a lot of cars tend to break at the end of the season so I'm sure there was some cleanup that made the track slicker too.

Anyway congrats to the OP going faster is always a good thing.
