 The weekend of November 3rd marked the third annual Vintage Watercooled gathering in warm and sunny Southern California. The event has been very successful in the past and this year was no exception; it drew over 150 vehicles and nearly 300 people to Bonelli Park in San Dimas, California. Full Story

That car belongs to the guys at DRS (Dynamic Racing Solutions) they have been working on that set up, and from what I understand they will have them for sale in the near future

My tailight was not 'out', it was 'intermittent'!!!! Amazing how picky some Mk 1 owners are! LOL. Having just finished building the car ...THE MORNING we left for San Dimas...boy! was I happy it was only the ground on the right taillight bulb that flinked out! I was glad to bring a lot of 'spare' parts...Jeff needed my Tranny fluid about half way out....boy scouts are PREPARED! I had a great time...after building some 45 Mk1 Srocks and an additonal 35 Jettas, Cabrios, Rabbits and Pick-ups...it was astounding to see the scope and quality of the cars there! Even some 'Beetle' guys showed up to look! 
The feeling of immortality extends right up to the moment of impact.
Every 10% weight reduction equates to 7% fuel mileage gain.
Priuses are ECONOMY cars for people who can't add.....

This is the second SoCal watercooler VW gathering I've missed this year because I didn't know in advance. Where can I find out about these gatherings beforehand? I don't seem them listed anywhere on Vortex, help.

You may be able to find photos by searching the forums, but unfortunately we do not have official coverage of the 2007 event.
