I've been using this for a while, and have to chime in again to say thanks for the efforts for the script work. Great stuff.

Thanks! Hopefully I'll have some time in the coming weeks to add in some more features. I would like to put in auto form save, so if firefox crashes you won't lose your new post.

I uploaded a minor updated trying to fix the youtube in the sig issue. I'm close but some still are showing up.Basically I have: //span[@class='posttext']/p/A[contains(@HREF, 'youtube.com/watch?v') and not(preceding-sibling::hr)] but there are some cases in the sig where a p is after the hr tag, so the not() check won't catch that. If any xpath gurus are around, please PM me. Also updated the text and a small FAQ now.

If anyone is willing to help me out and test out a new script. This one is for search history. I have two bugs which I'm trying to sort out.You can download the script here: http://code.etiviti.com/firevo...er.js Two problems I'm running into: 1. The radio button groups values are not always saving correctly (ie, archived and topic titles) 2. Some encoding issues with search terms and usernames If folks can d/l and report back that would be great! Once its good to go, I'll post it on the first page. I already posted a screenshot. I think this will be a great feature!

Oh sorry, terms with special characters such as H&R or someone's funky username edit, just updated the script and completely replaced the radio buttons with drop downs. Solved that issue. Modified by rich! at 9:21 PM 2-18-2007

Ok good to know. If I have some time in the coming weeks, I'll d/l Opera and check it out. If there are not too many differences, I'll create a second set for Opera users. BTW. Updated the forum.user.js script today. thatguyryan incorporated a page-ownage feature which will highlight the post count of the thread which is about to be owned.

I set my mad width to 800, now does it proportionally resize the image? Or does it just change the width and keeps the original height?

It'd be proportional. Simple cross multiplication to get the new image height, and then ridiculously simple HTML to write it out.Anyway, that's one thing I forgot to mention... at least us Opera users can get that feature (so you don't have to put that in the code for the Opera version, if you have to develop a seperate one), except it only makes the images the maximum width that the window can support without a horizontal scrollbar, by clicking on the eyeglass icon, then Fit to width.

Ok, The new google ajax search results are now uploaded. Please update all of your scripts as some minor updates where made to the others. What is going on... It took awhile to figure out how to inject the google api into firefox DOM (since google prefers their javascript before rather than after). The search engine is tied to the v-dub search I created a few weeks ago (referenced here). So if the search results are not great... well you can do something about it. Contribute to the v-dub search project and you can annotate and categorize searches to better suit everyone's needs. So basically, if you say "well search sucks", you can change it. I setup some basic categories, which you will see on the search results page (forums, aftermarket, news, etc...) Ie, Aftermarket will narrow the search results to the sites which I labeled as aftermarket companies (streetwerke, apr, vf, etc...) There is one BIG ISSUE. The api key only allows 1000 searches per day. While I do not see that happen right off the bat, since most of us are power-users (and its few) but I may require an api key code in the future if limits are reached. (very easy to setup if you have a google account) As always; ideas, comments, feedback and suggestions are welcomed! My next task is to put in a version notification alert on each script.

Great stuff here. Vortex should already have had these features. One suggestions, though, it would be great if we could delete specific conversations from our IM history. If I ask someone if they have a wheel, and they say 'no', I dont' really need to see that I talked to them anymore. I'd like to be able to hide it or something so I don't have to sort through a bunch of useless IMs to get to the ones that I still need.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been trying to incorporate some bigger features but proving to be a little more complex than I wanted. I'm going to split off a branch and get some more small updates rolled out this weekend. Color coded drop down (over 400 active forums, make it easier in the search and drop down on the bottom of the page) Fix a few bugs with the google search thread preview rollover (really want to get that hammered out) I'll look into creating a IM manager script. Maybe a show/hide? priority? notes? export to? (ideas please!)
I'll branch off the social networking stuff... (tags, friends, bookmarking, etc...) until I can find a more reliable way Anyways, please post up ideas! This helps me determine what could be done, right now I tend to troll the suggestion forum on areas which are lacking...

Bigger Update: Probably the most useful one yet... thread preview. Just hover over the topic title and a box will appear with the first post. Should save a lot of wasted clicks. Update forum.user.js to 1.8I'll add an option to turn it off but I ran out of tonight. *edit... forum.user (i need to combine these soon)

let me know how it goes... i noticed with the thread preview (since i'm parsing the print version) that hovering over 150 page threads will take some time to load but all thread previews are thrown into the browser cache to lesson the bandwidth hit.
