Introducing my newly nearly completed Jetta!!« »

I have been a long time lurker here at the forums, taking in the DIY stuff and reading the post's and such. So this is my first REAL post, not just a question.

Little about my lil jetta, Back in 97 i bought a brand new Sunfire, (UGH!) 6 months later i hated the car so much i drove into the vw dealership here in Honolulu. Sales guy asked "Can i Help you?" I said "Get me the hell outta this car and i will drive away in a jetta tonight" He did and i did! lol

So i am the original owner of this jetta. It was a bone stock Jetta GT up until a year ago. I came back from Iraq and all my friends were buying new Cars and trucks, but there was nothing wrong with my paid for, nearly 10 year old jetta. So i figured i would give it a 10 year birthday present! I wish I had some before pics to show you but they were lost on a hard drive crash awhile back. But just picture a bone stock Jetta GT black in color. 9 years worth of shopping cart dings, tons of scratches, all door moldings missing except one, and one bad rust spot on the rear drivers door at the window. now check her out!

Thats Euro moldings and fender flares, Vr6 front spoiler, angel eye headlights (i like the shape of jetta headlights, didn't want golf conversion, everyone does that!), and Euro mirrors. The Paint looks black but is actually a VERY dark Blue Metallic pearl (looks blue only in sunlight) the grill was changed out and a unibrow (one eyelid for a cleaner look. Also the nearly completely white stained door handles were changed out with new OEM handles.

showing the front closer

Also the smoked dummy-plates and turns, haven't figured out how to take the fogs apart yet, but have the inserts to go inside. Thats a lil rain on the hood if you were wondering.

Side view

side view showing a better look at the Euro moldings, yes that is a side skirt added, seemed to make the tie in better with the rear skirt and front spoiler. The tint will be changed soon to a black. The rims are kinda budget MMR but go nicely with the look of the car i think.

Euro mirrors color matched to the car, also all window mouldings replaced around the windows, and that long one from the bottom of the windshield anlong the top of the car to the rear window replaced.

Rear view

Yes the exaust tips are missing, they had to be cut in order for the rear lower skirt to fit, they will be back soon! (Magnaflow dual polished)

ITS REALLY BLUE!!!

it looks black at night, Dark Blue Metallic in the sun!!

HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT!

Lol outta nowhere comes this. I love the front end and how the sideskirts flow into the rear bumper is a nice touch. Most people don't like that grill but I've always been a fan.

car looks good. i used to have that grill but i wasnt very happy with it, but the grill spoiler helps it out a lot. my ONLY suggestion is to drop the front like 3/4 of an inch

Very nice. Only thing is that the black euro texture gets lost in the paint. I'm sure it looks much better in person b/c online it looks black. Overall great job

Car looks very nice. but i agree, u do need to adjust the front ride height a bit. It has a very slight reverse rake.

Don't go Neuspeed on the Charger.. get a Lysholm.. there are a lot more options available to it. Like a simple fmic setup.

Lovely Jetta though Gotta love GT's

I want to see a nice shot of the paint in daylight!
