One lucky driver! (an 18-wheeler tipped over onto a Jetta)« »

This happened today in Helsinki. A Russian 18-wheeler took a curve a tad too fast and tipped over onto a Vento (Jetta III) on the neighboring lane, completely crushing half of the car. Luckily only half though - the driver got only minor injuries.

Reminds me of that WRX that virtually disappeared yet the driver was also OK.

That's just insane! Even though most of the car has been gobbled up by the trailer, the angle of this picture is too funny...almost like a 1:10 scale truck crushed a 1:43 scale car

I'm voting Mk3 Golf Variant. I can see what looks like a d-pillar to me and the taillamp cutout where it wraps around the side doesn't look like a Vento/Jetta sedan to me either.

Amazing how a couple of words and/or emoticons that make no clear statement what-so-ever can generate such an intense reaction.

The truck driver probably got out and said "damn, almost got your ass..."

The golf/jetta driver then proceeded to try and strangle said truck driver.

Just to make things 100% clear, that was NOT a crack at the safety of the car in question. I know that practically any vehicles would have been similarly pancaked in a situation like that.

Again, it's amazing how two small words that make no clear statement can be interpreted in all kinds of crazy ways and get such extreme reactions.

That is a nasty bend with heavy traffic and loads of trucks on their way to and from the harbour. Not really surprised as that place is sometimes down right scary.

In college we were sitting in a bar watching the flyers play and the tree about 10 feet from us (outside the window) which was probably about 4 feet wide fell onto a honda passport. She was sitting at a red light. It crushed the entire back seat (and part of the rear section) and she walked out of it unharmed. If she was 2 feet back, I would have witnessed a tragic death.

I bought her a beer.
