Are you looking at the same car I am? That thing's ghastly... I'm sure it's fast, but... the widebody kit is just awful.

Your car does not have soul, you just have a pitiful selection of adjectives in your vocabulary.

How heavy is the w12?

Even if that GTI has 4 motion, I would think with that much weight in the front on a car it would be stepping out every time you tried taking a hard corner.

I dig the look, hopefully they'd change the front bumper, other then that it looks really nice to me.

It's mid-engine.

I'm surprised it's real. Most assuredly it's a one-off that'll sit in some VW museum until a zombie apocalypse, but it's still extremely cool. I hope Top Gear tests it.

I don't think it's in the front; look at the shot from the front/top, the roof dips down like it forms an air intake?

This car is mid-engined. The engine is behind the front seats.

The 3.6 engine fits in the Rabbit engine bay. The problem was mating it to a DSG that could take the power.

Looks great to me. The widebody is over the top, but so is a mid-mounted W12 in a GTI.

I'm really digging the front end - very clean.

I'm so glad VW continues to make concept/prototype cars with tons of horsepower and actual production vehicles with underpowered, anemic slug motors!

Good job VW!

Maybe you guys can make some concept vehicles that are reliable.. to make us even more jealous?

In order to send to the engine vitally necessary air for breathing, the rear side windows were easily inward swivelled, in order to create behind the C-column large Lufteiunlaesse.

I hadn't noticed that detail yet.
