yea, the rocker looks a little bit odd, not bad, and i know you said its not done, but maybe a little more stretched and smoothed into the rocker further towards the front. i made a quick pshop of what i'm talking about.

oh, and i also tried to paint it. lol.

i love this car.

i love how you painted the hood in the back too

i was just talking to my wife about making the transition a little smoother. i only got one side done, so i will be doing the other side just like your chop the side thats already done is going to be a pretty easy fix, so its not a problem.

edit:

Everything is continuing to look great man. I like the idea about making the rocker section longer and a smoother transition.

with all the custom stuff he does, last resort i'm sure he could make some sort of extention to hold the cap he has.

i'm not sure how its going to look with the angled rockers. i most likely wont go through with it. i am playing around with some ideas for the center of the rear valance though.

thats a pretty cool idea. i don't think i'll be able to make a whole new rocker from scratch and have it turn out good in the end. i'll just smooth mine.

thanks man. i love your what you're doing with yours too

wheels are 16x9 et -15 and 16x10 et -25. i am planning on widening the fronts to 10" too. i'll buy bigger inner lips for them.

no purpose. i needed an ac compressor and the only one i had was off the aba that originally came out of this golf. had to change the pulley and the end cap where the lines go into the compressor.

welder is lincoln sp 175 plus

I've only been on the tex for a little under two years and have long since stayed outta the MKIII forums but I honestly have to say this is one of the best build threads I've ever laid eyes on. Hell, its prob. one of the best threads on here. Impeccable craftsmanship, coherent design, attention to detail, and all around good stuff. I'm on the edge of my seat for the eventual completion of this one. Hats off to you my friend

nah. then you lose the rocker line and it looks like you just slapped a generic flare on top.

that's the problem i have with Brad's jazz and Marc's ginster
