 Speedy Gonzales / Star Auto Glass = awesome« »

These guys came to my place of work today, and replaced the windshield in my Mk2 Golf in less than 20 minutes. I watched them work, very thorough, very pro. They even sanded down and primed a few rusty places in the windshield groove (not as thoroughly as I might have, but hey, it's a daily driver).

$170 installed.

Update: the rearview mirror shoe fell off today. Looking at the backside of it, there was virtually no adhesive on there (covered at most 1/5th of the shoe's surface). So ... check your shoes.

That's not a bad idea! It'd probably overpower the diesel, and heck, who doesn't love the smell of greasy fries!

I'll just throw on a McD's cap, walk back there, and deep fry me 1 pair of new balance shoes!!

I like your solutionizability skils.
Well done.

Another for these guys

Paid $320 cash for a PPG class (OEM manufacturer for Mazda) WITH THE RAIN SENSOR! PPG w/ RAIN SENSOR!

Just for comparative purposes other places were quoting me on average between $375 - $400 plus some random B.S. about me needing a new $30 seal PLUS TAXES & LABOUR.

for Pedro! I just called them and they are going to come to waterloo to my house to give me a brand new OEM windshield, 180 installed! I am so happy, that is half of what i got quoted from Apple and Go Glass! Searching these forums totally pays off!

I'm broken down, Used car blues, it's no time to joke around, The only solution I can think of so far, Is to smash out the windows with a crowbar, And as the headlights shatter into stars one by one, I curse at the road and try to knock out the sun, I kick in the corner panels, son of a whore, The paint starts to chip off as I rip off one of the doors, piece of crap...
