Kia TT Fighter Concept - First Photo« »

There's been word this may be RWD, using the Tiburon platform at a lower price point. It also might be FWD. Either way, it's the first full design by Peter Schreyer for Kia.

There are no more pics, and no actual specs, either--just lots of rumor and innuendo.

This is the first teaser photo, released by Kia ahead of Frankfurt.

About two years out, actually. It's supposed to arrive late 2009 as a 2010 model.

are they modeling it after the current tibby? cause that would make it rather dated imo... they should model it after that new one that everyone has their panties in a bunch about

Beautiful Job! The most becoming KIA product ever. I particularly like the very distinctive lights.

However Swallow, a "TT fighter"....no way.

Quattro....nope
Bank vault ,body construction.... nope.
All solid ,aluminum interior....Nope

Looks more like a Civic Si fighter to me....(that won't be hard!)

more pix please.

Clarification here: I never said it was a TT-fighter. That's actually Kia saying this is a TT-fighter, Peter Schreyer in particular.

YMMV.

As much as it kinda reminds me of some silly mod.... I REALLY like the accent lighting. that would sure give it one helluva unique face at night.

Should be interesting to see what this car actually comes out with.

Kia has released a few drabs of info. The short of it--it's RWD, it'll be cheap (meaning, probably undercutting the new Tiburon), and it'll be out in about two years.

I have to say, I have a reputation on here for being a Hyundai/Kia booster, but even I'm surprised to see them become such the purveyor of RWD funsters.

Also, they need a symbolic emblem, not this "KIA" crap.

If they want my love, they'd make it a real TT fighter - and make it available with AWD. RWD would be interesting, but I don't see it likely.

between this and that toyota thing, I'd say that that audi Q7 commercial was accurate.

It's style man. Style is everything. Style is not to be confused with class. A Mercedes Benz is class because it represents money; however, chilly dogs have absolutely no class but a great deal of style. And punk rock, new wave, whatever you have, reggae, rastafari, haircuts, what have you are all different kinds of styles. None of them, however, have any class. I got class.

I remember when Honda came out with the indicators as a strip under the lights. Look nice in pictures... Not so much real life.

Swallow..I'd like to make clear that I'm a huge fan of KIA.

They have made the "most improved list "more times than I can remember.
KIA's design(s) are so far superior to the typical Japanese-crap as to be eye opening. they have nice clean designs, totally eschewing the gew-gaw styling and content laden mess that virtually EVERY Japanese car represents...the current Honda Civic SI and the toy priapus are the most egregious examples.

Kia Rio's are selling here for $8500 every day...this has got to be the best bang for the buck in America.

Keep up the good work KIA! ....it ain't no TT however! LOL

I'll feel bad however if KIA makes a better Scirocco than VW! (likely!)

They do have clean designs, but I don't see what's so superior about them. To me they look like European crap-boxes circa 2001. There is a low-rent, Suzuki/FIAT-type feel to their design. But at least they've finally lost the Korean look.

Swallow...while we're wallowing...in KIA's....you'd know who their design house is...
Is it Hyundai/ Kia in S. Korea...
or American in Ca.

Whomever...good job.

You can buy three Kia Rio's for one Priapus ( an unwanted useless hyped erection...requiring a stay at the doctor's to cure you) LOL

Actual difference real world...10 mpg!
Savings on taxes. $1600 ALONE....there goes your 10 mpg!

I've recommended a boatload of Rio's!
