Excellent Neb I left you my number in the pm. i do not know if i will have access to online, so phone might be the only way to get in contact. it is important for me to get peoples contact info so i can call them when i am in the area. i leave sunday from induction motorsports, and first stop looks to be chicago, then up through the midwest and north towards seattle, and then down the west coast

Not sure yet actually, it is a possibility. I just graduated college and been working full time for a while now. My grandfather who passed a week after my graduation, left me as a present with any trip i wanted too. so i am taking the offer. i figured why not drive the R32 across country and see what the rest of this country looks like. ive been in NY for 22 yrs, never left. i want to see what it looks like first and might move out if i like it. i hear San Fransico is nice, one of my many stops so i have taken off of work for the month of august and into september to do this trip. i just dont know any one in cali though, so it be a rough move

Thanks for the advice chuck this will be a long trip. i have taken an indefinite leave from work, so i take as long as i need to. I want to see the country, get away from here for a while, and just drive the R32 like she should be driven. I am trying to meet up with as many people along the way to help make the trip go smoothly, because doing it solo can be boring. but i plan on seeing as much as i can even if it is by myself. but hopefully every city i stop through there will be an R owner to get some food and drinks with and show me around

i have xm radio which will help, along with my ipod & cds. i plan on listening to the sweet sound of my exhaust sometimes too if i have internet access, i will try to keep this thread updated as much as i can, if not get ready for a big pic thread when i return

yes, it certainly will. if you like talk radio, you will love xm202. ron and fez made my x-country drive much more enjoyable. they made me feel like i was part of their conversation.

An alternative to I 95 south would be I 81 down to I 40 and take that west. I 81 runs through some of the most beautiful country in the east, down the Shennandoah and Blud Ridge mtns, and I 40 runs through Nashville and Memphis, Tu;sa, Oklahoma city and Gallup, NM on its way to northern Arizona. Gallup, by the way, has one of the niftiest motels you'll ever encounter, the El Rancho, which was a film star hang-out from the late thirties through the late fifties and is reasonably priced to boot.

In any case, let us all know the route you plan to take so that we can know who is close and who can provide some local knowledge on areas to see.

dont know if i will be taping up the front. ive heard horrow stories of heat taking off the clear coat. i bought plastic protective covers for the HIDs and may just get a re-spray when i get back if it is that bad.

nope wont be passing through boston, although i do hope to visit again and go F1 go-karting
