According to boxofficemojo, the first 3 films made a combined $602,102,878 worldwide.......

So yeah,... they'll keep making them.

Couldn't get the budget info from Tokyo Drift but he first 2 movies production budgets were just over 100 mil combined, so unless Tokyo Drift cost 500 mil to make, I'm predicting a slight profit. Those stupid Hollywood morons and them crappy movies..

$38Million and made $144Million at the Box Office. Still making money on DVD. This is the definition of success in Hollywood.

Pay for a clutch+install and you can have that run ...

So, here we go... Some pictures from filming last Friday... Once again, I apologize for the bluriness, but can't blame the phone. I was using my SLR, but no tripod means lots of shake. Hey, I did my best .

Toretto's market (used in Part 1 but not Part 4)

Toretto's new ride for FF4 (Malibu Chevelle SS - there were two of these on the set, one for close-ups/in-car footage)

The Charger (the plot outline has this thing being rebuilt after the wreck in Part 1)

director's/cameramen's area, with camera monitors...

Paul Walker's character's car, with close-up car in background:

Who's that blurry bald dude?

It's the Diesel!

and he drives!

That is all... For now . I made friends with some of the grip crew and they should let me know when the action is (Friday was only their 9th day of filming).

The Original FnF was awesome i thought. Even critics liked the first one. Jay Leno liked it as well. He said it best when he said "It's just good summer fun"
Now, few people liked the other two. I didn't like em. They also had little to do with the first, if any. I don't think the 4th one should even be compared. I would say they should completely rename it.

Meh, the first was ok, the second was atrocious, and I thought the third one was a ton of fun.

Also, just to be a dick, rottentomatoes wasn't too kind on TFatF. Scoring a 51% with an average of 5.3/10.

Yup, and over $200 million world wide. Also don't forget all the merchandising, toys, video games ect., last I heard it is a billion dollar profit for Universal Studios.

im amazed how you can just roll up and start taking pictures.

i imagine some of the blurrier ones were because of zooming in. atleast your trying. steady hands is key.

keep up with the pictures blurry or not i dont see anyone else showing us pics like this

i enjoyed watching the first 3. granted not the best movies ive seen but definitely entertaining. glad to see vin is on set and hopefully in the movie. he really made the first on and his appearance in the 3rd... priceless.

No way. This is definitely a movie I'm too guilty to pay for, and too curious not to see. I'm pirating the hell out of it.

Pretty cool you're able to just hang out on set and take pictures.

Yes - Universal places the value of the franchise as a whole (movies, video games... happy meal toys... whatever) at around 900 million dollars.

Interestingly, the profitability of the franchise has been falling ever since the first one. However, unlike a surprising amount of other modern movies, they actually work to keep it fresh, so who knows.

I know I'll see FnF 4. I'd much rather see some cars driving around (and have some hilarious dialogue to mock later) than get dragged to "Mother And Daughter Have Fight But Then Love Each Other Again Pt. 9," which is most of the moviegoing I do these days. *vomisaurus*
