I've had the privilege of driving the FrankenBunny, and it is so damn fun it'll put a grin on your face anytime. "Responsive" doesn't do it justice, changes of velocity (speed or direction) happen so quickly that it's amazing.
Thanks to the 'tex for featuring it.

Yah, awesome - just like someone else said! REALLY, REALLY clean. Makes me want to get an old Mk1 GTI and restore it.

Hey, what kind of top end do you get with the .75 5th gear??

What is your most memorable/humorous/embarrassing moment with this car?
Having the corner workers at a track event/high performance driving school give a passing flag to a late model Porsche Carrera so that obnoxious black Rabbit can get by. I couldn’t get past him on the straights, but I caught right back up at the turns — needless to say, he was not very happy about having to let me by!

Priceless. Congrats on the feature!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments - it took me 3 very, VERY long years to get it back on the road again, and I'm glad to see that others see it the way I do! I really love that car, and I get a grin on my face every time I drive it.

As for top end with the taller 5th, I can get over 100, but I haven't had enough concrete to actually top it out. Well, not 100% true, but I've got a pretty darned good driving record, so trying to do much more than 105 increases the probability of a tarnished record! I designed it to be good for autocrossing and small road courses, but with the higher redline (valve springs, ARPs, etc.), I can get up to a little over 90 in 4th, which is only marginally slower than my VR6 can do on the same course. On the higher-speed road courses (Texas World Speedway, for example), I use the long straights to let the Mustangs by and let it cool down - after all, I'm only doing the driving schools in FrankenBunny, so I'm not "racing"...

Oh, and I'll see what I can do about getting a sound-byte of the Supertrapp - I think it sounds great, although my neighbors might disagree...

I can say thet Frankenbunny sounds really good!! All around sweet car that makes any VW or car guy into a maniac when driving it. Andy has graciously allowed me to drive and autox the Bunny several times and the fact that he still has a license shows how much restraint he has!! And a good radar detector!! Great job Andy!! Proud to have been around!!
