Project Satan - New pics added 5/11« »

My friend mike decided to start a project on a Nissan 240sx at the beginning of winter. And a bunch of us jumped in to help him.

Original plans were to: truck it, and run cantilever suspension. But things definitely got added on mid-project. Not to mention this was all done in my other friends garage, where our most complex tools were: grinder, welder, and some drills.

Mike has been drifting for a couple years, here is one of his videos from last season:

http://video.google.com/videop...hl=en

Lots of time and effort has been put into this, including the help from 10+ people.

We have a few weeks left until season starts and the motor is going in this weekend, along with other goodies.

But anyway, i figured some people might be bored like me and enjoy some pictures of the progress so here it is:

At the very begining:

Cutting the hatch area:

Doing some stitch welding:

Yours truely doing some cutting:

fabbing up the frame rails:

Rear beam where cantilever's will be mounted:

Main hoop in:

Rear doglegs:

Back firewall in and rear lid:

Wheel tubs:

Body work, body work, and MORE body work, thank god that's pretty much done

And this is how it sits now:

We're getting there. If there is any interest i'll keep this updated.

lol he has a ka24 turbo from the gray one in the video. He has a international diesel turbo on it that is going in this. He is tryin to get rid of that car actually and fund a vq35 and turbo it, but that may have to go in later. And i'll keep ya guys updated.

here's a shot of the current motor:

This is really weird and really cool. Should've made it into a minivan-ish thing like the NX200 or whatever that thing is called.

Looking at the first set of pics had me confused about the suspension. Then I realized it wasn't done yet. Right?

Knight Rider wasn't evil.

His windshield wipers were. It didn't come up much in the show though.
