I'm not a Hamilton fan ,but I feel bad for him. That is a really silly way to leave a race. I don't think it's his fault as much as the guy who turns on the red light at the very last second. That is totally ridiculous.

Raikkonen and Kubica didnt seem to have a problem stopping...and they had less time to react.

It is blatantly his fault for not noticing the red lights, plain and simple.

My picture was fine while it was working but it was lagging really bad.

They seem to have it fixed though. I haven't noticed it in a while.

What an awesome race!

I guess that's karma....sort of, considering what happened in Monaco. But anyway, KUBICA won!!!!

What's ironic is that Poland is playing Germany as we "post" in Euro 2008.

Got to be my new favorite race venue of the season. So much drama!

I'm very happy for Kubica and BMW. Its good to see a third team become legitimately competitive.

Fox coverage was better this time, as opposed to some events last season. I still don't like the 'overlay' commercial endorsements or programming info though. Now if we just get them to finish covering the post race interviews, as this race in particular is one where I really wanted to hear the drivers comments.

Good old super Dave getting a podium too. Makes me a bit nostalgic.....

Wow! What a race! Hamilton was doing well until the pitstop. It seemed to me that Kimi just took it in stride...<---very professional in my opinion (as was Hamilton, it did look like his car could have been fixed but instead he chose not to continue...Kimi's car was gone after the accident) Hooray for Kubica and BMW 1-2. This season just got a lot more interesting..

Bravo BMW, well earned. Nice to see DC on the podium too, though of course i now have to DL 2 gigs of video just to see the post race interviews. thanks a lot FOX

Quick thinking by hamilton to end kimi's day instead of kubica.
What an idiot.

It is very nice to watch a race w/ decent picture/sound though. I'll take it even though it means no pre/post race and commercials every 5 minutes.

I agree, Fox BLOWS.

And the picture from Fox was FAR worse than any picture I've ever gotten from Speed.

To hell with Fox.

Great race. I'm glad the track conditions didn't play a major factor in the results, there were some great passes. I agree it was fantastic to see the podium with no Ferrari or McLaren drivers. Well done Sauber
.

And glad I had the ITV feed, sounds like the FOX coverage wasn't that good...

uhh worse?

You must either A. have SPEED HD or B. still be using a 4:3 TV.

If A, i'm jealous + hate you , if B, it is more than time to upgrade.

TSNHD which is similar to SpeedHD (upscaled F1 world feed but with ITV commentary) had a good picture and they stayed with the broadcast for the interviews (not always the case with TSN though... it depends what's following the show).

Uhhh... you must not have an HDTV.

Because it looked much, much better than the crappy standard def Euro feed that we usually get. The HD broadcast looked great.

In the replays it looks like Hamilton was lookin at his wheel makin changes so I guess he wasn't expecting the stupid red light, I'm sure he feels dumb enough for that mistake anyways.

I just got back from montreal....it was AMAZING!!!

The funny thing is that during the drivers parade (basically all the drivers go around the track in an ausin-healy converible before the race) the announcers were making jokes that Hammy was on his Blackberry texting the whole time

here's some of my pics from the weekend....i was in GA at the hairpin all weekend

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3878158

Here's some pics from the Bridgestone open-house on thursday. Buses actually drive you on the track to the pit lane.....it was amazing, although i did feel like the bus was going to tip going through the chicane at turns 8/9

These shots were taken w/out the telephoto lens....yeah, i was that close

Here are some pics of the race and qualifying, we sat at the hairpin all weekend in general admission and got to the track at 6:30am this morning to make sure we had good seats, i wish i would explain how awesome it is to watch these guy go from 130mph to 50mph through a hairpin and back up to 170mph again....it was unreal

**Here's a pic from Formula BMW (or if you are french: Bay Emm Dooble Vey ) 140hp motorcycle engines.....great racing!

Here are some pics of the festivities that took place on the streets of montreal all weekend.....seems to me that every rich canadian (and northeastern american) drove their very expensive cars up for the event, i was drooling all weekend

(the only "baller" wheels i saw all weekend sadly )
