Just took a trip up to Montreal about a month ago for the Grand Prix du Canada, and the car returned 450 miles on a single tank, cruising at 70-75mph the entire trip up on the thruway. that's 33mpg! Will return much better mileage if driven closer to 55-65mph. Car just needs regular cheap 87 octane fuel. No need for anything more expensive. I am a very involved VW enthusiast, and take great care to maintain my cars.
