can't really tell a difference right now, but imo i bet it's gonna look sick since it already is keeping the original design

The first word that came to mind when I saw the first picture: constipation.

Hopefully it'll be a fresher design than the current car. The current car hasn't aged well, IMO.

The first gen G35 still looks fantastic to me and the new model has been out for a while now. The 350z just looks dated and not in a good way.

Agreed. I dont know what it is about the 350. I do like the later models with the slight revisions but the older ones just look dated now, maybe because their styling was pretty out there when it came out, and now it is just bland.

The roofline sweeps down nicely like the Audi TT. Does the VQ37 still have that obnoxious sound?

Is this the one that's said to weigh ~15% less? Or is that model still a few years off?

I assume with the title "370" this one has the larger 3.7L & doesn't weigh less.

This is supposedly it, yeah. Shorter, smaller, lighter, more powerful.

The sound that you speak of has nohing to do eith the engine, but has everything to do with the exhaust system.......since when does pure engine noise come out of the tailpipe of a mass market everyday vehicle....people need to get this straight.

BTW I for one love the sound of the current Z.

Oh really? So you can tune the exhaust of my 2.0T to sound like the 350Z or an R32? No you can't. It has everything to do with the engine, and some to do with the exhaust. You need to get that straight. Sure, they can muffle the sound but that DISTINCT VQ35 sound is still there even if it is toned down in other applications.

I'm on my way out the door to get an exhaust system for my 2.0T to sound like an 08 Corvette while we're at it.

Exhaust systems affect the sound of the exhaust quite a bit but the basic tone comes from the engine itself.

they did a great job disguising that thing! you can hardly tell what it is! that's like a hot girl, 6' tall, long legs, wearing short shorts, and trying to fit in and be discrete.....yeah, no.

glad to see the design stays almost the same. that's one car that i will hate to see change even if it's in 20 years. to me it's like a 911 (almost), the style transcends traditional car styling. it's timeless really. even 40 year old porsches still rock in terms of styling.

lol at this statement.

In any event, VQ's sound like crap imo, especially once they are over 4.5K and sound like they are about to rattle themselves to pieces.
