What I mean is that who cares about ignorant people, one should care about offending people who associate that symbol with absolute evil and death. Those affected by the nazi's have enough sh** to deal with...and they are not ignorant.

Um, no. That makes no sense...you drive a German car, that sticker is no more associated with nazi-ism than any of our cars are. Thats like associating a German flag with Hitler...those who do that are ignorant, period.

Lets recap.

He wants to put an eagle on his car; a symbol used by many countries *cough* USA *cough* to represent strength and freedom.

Because this particular eagle is used in Germany, its seen as a Nazi symbol? Lets not forget that this is NOT a Nazi symbol, at all. It has no connection to that group at all. If someone assumes it is, and gets offended, thats their problem. The onus is not on the OP to educate stupid people, the onus is on them to not be morons and remain open minded about things they know nothing of.

Heres a quick rundown of other countries which use a black eagle; Albania, Austria, Silesia of the czech republic, Liechtenstein, Greece, Russian federation, Serbia, Montenergo, past recognition of families among the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, the state of Mount Athos, Greek orthodox church, the german state of Brandenburg, Austrian States of Tyrol and the Italian province of South Tyrol, Iraq, Remains of the Aragonese empire in the Mediterranean,...etc etc

The Third Reich eagle...would be a different story.

I have no tolerance for those who jump at the oppurtunity to take up a cause, simply...because. Those are the same people who generally arent smart enough to know what exactly they are scrutinizing.

also back the the swastika, I am not sure what the Hindu symbol stands for, but I heard Charles Manson tried to give himself a nazi swastika on his forehead. Except he did it in the mirror so it turned into the Hindu symbol(which i've heard stands for peace????? can anyone comfirm?) sorry. off topic
