Wasn't going to make a big deal out of it (not that this is) or anything but I guess a obnoxious thread/gallery of my Rado is at least due.

Before I post pics I seriously just wanted to give thanks to all that have helped me along the way on this forum. Also, props to the locals I have met and organizers of events that I have attended and just an overall thanks to the Corrado Community to being the best out there (even within the VW community itself).....

Either way she (yes I called it a she) isn't the lowest/fastest/most reliable (LOL) but as you all know it's a blast to drive and makes me smile everytime I lay eyes on it. It truly is my most treasured possession and really can say I will never sell it.

This car was something that my father and I got into when I was in college and without him this car would never be were it is at today. He has since passed on (RIP) but the Corrado remains. I consider this car in memory of him and will be a family heirloom provided nothing ever terrible ever happens to it....(like the my first one).

Al is a great guy and his car is....well.....just check the pics of the SLC out....doesn't post on here much and its been awhile since I seen his car at the WF 12 in the Falken booth.....

The hood mirrors are heat resistant plastic....and is held up by industrial strength velcro so its not permanent in case I change my mind about them. Easy to keep clean and hasn't been an issue ever...although it did make my hood heavy like whoa.....

I will say I had it professionally done at a body shop...hood was taken off for the job as you need to grind some of the seal out to make the mirrors fit.

I was lucky as I had just bought a new hood, had it painted, and had no left over insulation to scrape off before the mirrors were installed.

People feared (and so did I) that they would be tacky, but overall they came out much better then people thought....

I probably wouldn't have even seen this thread except I was hoping to pick up a Corrado as a track car for next year...we'll see how that works out
