Just recently returned from visit at the Wellness Center in Portland to get the Hydostatic bodyfat test and the results are as follows:

Under Hydrostatic
Height: 5',8.5"
Weight:181lbs/81KG
Body fat percentage: 3.5%

Under Caliper
Body Fat percentage: 5.5%

The tech who adminstered the test was shocked I was expecting maybe close to the 13.9% 24hr Fitness gave me a few weeks ago.

If you're really 3.5% bf, you should look ready to step on stage....after dehydration of course.

Give the kid a break. Hell I'm 155lbs at the same height as him, but I'm intentionally that light and not trying to gain weight. In fact I've got a few pounds to spare if anyone wants em

Yeah, you're lean, but not 3.5% lean. You'd have ridiculous definition and vascularity if you were that lean. Maybe you didn't exhale all the way?

Thats a good possibility. The tech took five measurements for the Hydrostatic portion of the test. There may have been a couple of times that I did'nt fully exhale prior to entering underwater.

I did fast for 12 hours prior to the test, I don't know if that would've been a factor as well.

Okay, for Kim - Pics taken today. Good motivation to get my butt in gear for the next 2 months before the end of 2009.

Back

Side - I am sorta "flat and wide"...no definition.

Arm - my posing sucks

Stomach/side - GAH the squish!!! Finally get some semblance of something other than just a round blob.

Tummy

LONG way to go, but so much better than the beginning of the year.

looking good ffj.

i'm looking into going back to the gym finally. next week once i get through the repair outage i am going to either renew my membership at golds or look into planet fitness if they have everything that will cover the exercises i want to do... if not, it's gonna be golds then.

I've re-evaluated my goals for the time being and for starters i need to just get back to some level of fitness first before i go off on my real goals post surgery. So regardless of which gym i pick, i'll be trying to gain some strength back without going overboard but also cutting as much weight as possible for the next few months. if i can get back to 220 then i'll start back up heavy again as long as i can handle it. So i need to drop 20-25lbs right now. which i've gained since july when my hip/leg/back started acting up initially.

bad news, i was working on my car today and leaning over a few times and yanking on some stuff i felt a lot of tightness in my hip and some latent pain in the same area as before. I gotta stretch out, get more mobile again, and figure out why i have this problem when it doesnt hurt all the time anymore. so i'll be doing some stretching tomorrow

Great progress, very impressive

Keep in mind that the 20 lbs lost still factors in the muscle that you've gained, so in reality you've actually lost MORE than 20 lbs of fat. You just added a few in muscle (which definitely isn't a bad thing, quite the opposite). Keep up the progress

Good work girl, you should be proud at how hard you've worked. You may have motivated me to post up some pics so I can track my progress, I wish I'd taken pics before I started up back in 2005 and weighed somewhere around 165.

How tall are you Danielle? I thought you were taller than me...I started out at 162 and am now at 142. Ideally, I think 135 would be good, based upon other girls body building profiles on bb.com.

So we are basically the same height. I just round up because everyone thinks I'm way taller than I am and this way, they won't argue.

PICS.

Ok go easy on me, this is my first time ever posting these kind of pics on the intarwebs. My current weight fluctuates a lot, I don't have a scale at home but used my SIL's scale first thing yesterday morning (no clothes) when I woke up, I was 132.5 (which I loved). Usually I weigh in at the gym later in the day with clothes (no shoes) and weigh 136-139. It is really hard to take flexing bicep pics, I gave up, and back pics.

Yahtzee game in the bathroom FTW.
