 The 2010 Mustang in real life.« »

Saw one on the street this morning.

I always thought it looked great in pictures... but in real life - wow... boy was I disappointed. The rear end and new hood just don't work at all.. specifically the angle of the back of the car, and the way the hood hangs over the front lights.

I was wondering how many people had seen one in the flesh, and what they thought, compared to pictures.

I thought the same, I saw a new Camaro in yellow yesterday and it too was quite bland and boring, not the polarizing car I've been seeing on the net or mags er..movies for the last decade.

Saw a Grabber Blue with black stripes convertible a few weeks ago.... It was a blink & miss it kind of thing, but I thought it looked kinda more badass or something. Thought it looked better than I figured it would in real life AND I've been waiting for that color to come back out for a long time too

I've completely fallen for the '10 Mustang. I checked out yesterday at the local Ford Dealer, and I loved everything, the sleek lines, the power-bulge hood, awesome.

I had one for a week back in early February and you guys are crazy. The 2010 is so much better looking in person than in photos and it drives like a completely different car over the '09s. Having spent quite a bit of time around a Camaro as well, I'm still sold on the Mustang GT.

Wow, given my gut reaction to the car in real life... this is all very surprising...

Maybe it looks better from a higher angle or something. I was sitting very low in the s2k, and at an intersection where I was kind of looking up at it as it made a left through the intersection in front of me.... coming out of a parking lot that is set lower than the road...

Cool stuff - I look forward to giving it another shot from different angles. Like I said.. I loved all the pictures I had seen.

I like the 2005 coupe more than the 2010 coupe.

But I like the 2010 vert more than the 2005 vert.

I do think they screwed up with the rear of the 2010.

The white GT coupe I saw looked pretty damn good. Nicer than the '09s that were sitting next to it by a long shot.

Pass 2 every day on my way to work...sitting at the local Ford dealership. There's something in the front end I don't quite like, but with the addition of the bigger motor soon (hopefully) I could look past whatever it is that bothers me and focus on the tire smoke instead

Living where I do, I see them a lot now. I like them. I am still deciding whether or not I like what they did to the front. The new rear end looks awful to me in pictures. IRL, I think it looks really sharp, go figure.

And then there's the new Shelby, which is of course, totally tits. The nose on that thing is definitely

Personally I think the 2010 Mustang looks better in person than in pics. The Camaro and Challenger look about as good in person as in pics. Oddly, the Mustang *seems* a lot smaller than the Camaro and Challenger in real life as well.

Living in San Francisco I've seen a ton of new Mustang convertibles driving around and they're ALL rental cars with the little bar code on the windows. It's totally ruined the convertible for me.

I agree. the things is soo mispraportioned IRL. the back is just bleh! It's supposed to look mean, and the rear looks asbsolutely feable! All the good looking pictures of the car, are all shot from similar angles... I hope they do a refresh in a short time and "mean up" the rear end a little bit more

I've seen several '10s driving around in various trim levels. I actually like them, and I've never been a fan of the Mustang.

I'd be willing to bet they were V-6 models too. That being said, their rental fleet allocation is nothing new.

They were and I know. Still kills it for me to see a ton of new Mustangs and only one (a coupe) was privately owned.

I've seen a few V6s and GTs at the dealer, and one GT on the road, and I thought they looked great. Certainly an improvement over the old model. They could use a bit of a drop ride-height-wise, but other than that, they're solid looking cars.

i saw the 2010 GT500 at the Detroit Auto Show. From a purely superficial standpoint (since ive never driven one), id have to say that i do really like them. obviously different lines then the previous gen, theres nothing that i find unappealing.

if i had the money would it be in my garage? no
