Hmm, I wonder how you would classify the transition of the GTI. From MKIII to MKIV they eventually added the 1.8T GTI but still also had the VR6. However MKV is strictly the 2.0T.

I think the OP is looking for cars that went from Super- to Turbocharged, or vice-versa.

Yep.... he street races around the D.C. area with it.... pretty much all for show, there's no point in having two blowers other than looking stupid, which he pulls off pretty well.

Supercharged

Turbocharged

Way to tell if TC or SC. Wheels. TCs have split spokes, also the grill has different pattern. Other than that, both come with high or low spoiler.

the new Scirocco is the successor to the Corrado, just as the Corrado was the successor to the Scirocco of the 80s.

The name doesn't matter... It's like when Ford named the Taurus replacement the "Five Hundred" but then realized that was stupid and changed it back to Taurus.

I didnt wanna be the one to say it

But...I read somewhere that the Corrado started of as a Supercharged engine that was later switched to turbo. That would make it sufficient without use of technicalities.

Nope. The Corrado switched from the supercharged G60 to the naturally aspirated VR6, not anything turbo.
