I come here once in a while, mainly for entertainment. This time I see this thread about A&L. I started reading not realizing A&L was different from AL. I was WTF, Arnold would never do this to people. I did some searching and found out that A&L was in Florida, different from AL…. lol

OP, it’s all your fault. You should’ve done some searching before buying.

While searching, I stumbled up on this.

Are you F’in kidding me? People actually pay money for this?

Hey guys, I'm going to start making tubular manifolds, 300$ each flux cored out of my garage, no refunds.

I'll go start one asking about short ram intakes and cold air intakes, uni vs tapp, and if a ko4 is worth it... should be fun

But on a more serious note, I learned this lesson through a friend who bought a "full race header" for his spec v ser sentra for around 250$, that came with a free ceramic coating... the welds were marginally better than what was just posted above, and the "ceramic coating" was chipping off after 5 days. He has had it for about half a year and it is rusting all over the place. It didn't come with any of the needed hardware to install it, oh I think it came with one gasket... its sooo raspy and drones and leaks(may have fixed that) and looks horrible and is falling apart...

Even before that experience I have always been a fan of "you get what you pay for," not saying I'm always going to buy the most expensive product out there because I think the amount it costs is directly proportional to its quality, but I surely am not going to buy the cheapest product.

Good luck OP hope it all turns out well.

I bought some stuff from Luis and the service was pretty good. They are a bit slow responding some times but generally pretty good prices and shipping on branded goods.

but... it is disappointing when a supplier of anything gets in a pissing contest about whether their products (fabricated or not) are any good. Especially when it is so easy to start a thread like this which will damage a reputation even more.

suck it up, learn from the experience and refund the guys money. you will get more business doing that than you will now

Before manifold left i check it for warpaged and you can probably slide a piece of paper by the flange. We have sold and install a lot if these manifolds and never had any issue's. You are suppose to install any manifold criss cross so it can seal properly. Now after you received the manifold you called me for a downpipe. When you told me you where gonna send it back i told i wasn't gonna issue a refund for a not of the shelf product that i was going to resurface the flange for you and issue you a refund on the shipping.

I understand that most of you guys when you see something cheap in price feel offended, we use the same material in tubing as any other guy would use on their manifolds, we just use mild steel flanges to save some money on the product. Now we offer a lifetime warranty on our manifolds from cracking and etc.

Now this is a lesson learned we will start shaving the flanges with out a problem at no extra charge and still offer these things at the same price. We are not here to make 1000 on a manifold, we just want to give a good affordable product.

Your justification for using mild steel flanges is off. You are suppose to use mild steel flanges instead of stainless steel to avoid warping, not to save money. Which obviously didn't work in your case. Also manifolds are suppose to be bolted down from the inside working your way out, to let it "spread" outwards.

P.S. spend more time when you type, your posts read like a 3rd grader typed it.

Yeah you are a scammer, you are the equivalent of ss autochrome.

You will post pictures of that and send people out garbage.

AKA a light form of bait and switch, you are not selling what you are advertising.

Keep laughing it may hide the pain you of being a lying $hitbag, but it's pretty obvious what you are.

Are you retarded? Did you not think this stuff would come to light?

THis is what you send people, not what you advertise.

What a joke. That is crap, i can tell you that you did not use the same rig/setup you welded that other stuff with because I have spent enough time around real fabricators to be able to tell by looking even if I can nto explain that maybe you did not use the right gas, or even gas at all. Whatever, point is it is trash, and I have laid better welds than your "production" work in my garage with a flux core.

I am very surprised to see shop representatives behaving this way on a public forum. Sure there may be issues with the A&L products, but you guys shouldn't be ganging up on him like that. It's just too easy on the internet, and you're making yourselves look very unprofessional.

There sure are a lot of welding "experts" in here. Unless you have spent years perfecting your craft, please don't comment about "I can do better in my uncle's basement using a transformer with two leads". Looking a pics of stacked dimes on the internet tells you very little about the quality of a weld.

On another note, you should not need to resurface a flange after welding. If you make proper jigs and weld it correctly, your manifold should un-bolt from the fixture and be straight as an arrow.
