FORD CANADA POSTS FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR-OVER-YEAR SALES INCREASE; SALES UP 20%
Overall vehicles sales were up 20% compared to last October
Car sales increased 8% compared to same period last year
Ford Taurus sales rose 57%
Ford Fusion sales were up 65%
Ford Mustang sales increased 8%
Ford Flex sales rose 38%, best October on record
Ford Edge sales were up 38%, best October on record
Ford Escape sales increased 19%, best October on record
Ford F-Series sales were up 59%
Ford Explorer sales increased 21%
Ford Expedition sales were up 46%
Lincoln MKX sales rose 90%
Overall Lincoln sales jump 22%

The way I read this...October 2008 must have been a very bad sales month. Good to see the economy really is picking back up.

Yes Martha, you can get your new 2010 Toyota 4Runner with a 4-cylinder. As long as it's 2WD. And as long as it's with an old 4-speed automatic.

Not really. Even though a few manufacturers posted huge gains (Acura was up 78% for the month) overall sales were still down -1% from last October. Most of that rests at GM's feet, which was down 33% from last October. 2009 2008

I find the Ford gains rather surprising. The SHO starts at 48,188 which is about 10k more than it does in the US. By comparison the S4 starts at 52,150.

Same here. I see a TON of the new F-150, but that is about it. Don't think I've even seen a new Taurus on the road yet...
