But the IS outsold the ES last month (and by a fair margin) which I found odd. Now they're kind of back where they should be. Interesting that the two of them combined didn't outsell the 3 Series (I know, I know, the 3 Series has four variants, but the wagon, coupe and vert aren't exactly volume vehicles). |
Oh I wasn't arguing with you. I believe the IS convertible helped sales over the summer. The ES just got the new 2010 facelift/refresh

I still don't understand why hyundai genesis sedan and coupe are grouped together and VW CC and Passat aren't. The cc and passat are essentially the same car. Put together and the B6 is doing very well for the group. At least much better than I expected.

Need to add Taurus and DTS sales...Taurus is top of the mainstream flagship group and the DTS is Cadillac's second best selling vehicle.

FWIW Inventory between MY 2009 & 2010 was weird after the GM restructuring. 2010 CTS's weren't even available the full month. Inventory was crazy low until just recently.
Yes Martha, you can get your new 2010 Toyota 4Runner with a 4-cylinder. As long as it's 2WD. And as long as it's with an old 4-speed automatic.

With a few small changes (body colored grill and trunk trim piece), I find the TL quite attractive. *runs and hides* Too bad the powertrain is a full step behind most of the competition in terms of accelerative performance. Give it a more restrained grill, 30 more HP, and the new 6-speed auto and I bet sales would take off.

Acura stated they planned to sell 70k and this was stated in October last year. It is by far a sales failure. GM just started leasing again.

I think you meant to say that they suck even in light of the bad economy. In which case, I have to agree. The Genesis is not a sales champ. That still doesn't change anything about the car itself. Many good cars throughout the years have been sales duds.

That is really harsh. What exactly makes the RX "garbage"? For the majority of consumers, it does everything well. I wouldn't buy one, but my sister has one and it treats her family extremely well. It is easy to drive, quiet, luxurious, safe, reliable, the right size, and they get exceptional service at their Lexus dealership. What more can one ask for?

While it looks like many manufacturers did get a nice ~10% bump in volume, I don't see why the 3 series would be up 26% month-over-month, with no new models in the lineup. Were there lease specials or something to help move units?
