Youd be amazed what some engne degeaser, elbow grease, and tire wet will do to an engine bay.

It's been in an accident, look at the pass side strut tower. It looks clean, cuz it's probably all new.

DIY adjustable camber change

The harder you hit it, the bigger the camber angle deflection

due to all the unburnt fuel being pushed into the exhaust system, it opened the muffler up like an exploded beer can, and large flames would shoot out from under it, lighting up the darkness. It would do it any time you shut it down after running it hard. I'd coast up to the gas pump because I was afraid it was going to blow the place up.

i would venture to guess that it's not accident damage, but just metal fatigue. i've seen this type of thing on several unibody cars. only takes one weak spot in the sheet metal or one bad spot weld and hundreds of thousands of miles and it becomes a big problem. the rust that inevitably sets in doesn't help either.

I've never seen that on a unibody car that wasn't either wrecked or jumped repeatedly... which I guess is also "being wrecked".

The fact that the fenders looks nice and straight and the metal behind the fenders looks mangled suggest the front was wrecked, then pulled out and the fenders replaced... but the "pulling out" of the metal supporting the shock towers resulted in a much weaker metal/structure. I think "pulling out" a metal frame/structure that's been bent far will result in metal fatigue.
