      It's obviously a slight step up from the awful stock manifold, great for a show car... But it's definitely not on the cutting edge of enginnering. That's the main thing that I'm trying to get across....

      I read that the VR6 was designed with regards of a prospective future diesel version... not that it was originally a diesel.

      old VR6 had forged cranks?
      if they're high quality cast cranks like hondas (which are good 'til about 700hp most of the time) then we have nothing to fear.
