Good find. I set all the speed limits to "Not Active" and it seems to now allow scrolling and typing while moving. I'd rarely use this, but every once in awhile I'm sure it will be nice not to have...

When I first got my 2018 R I was annoyed by the fact that I couldn't run the dash nav while running android auto. I'd ideally like for the android auto maps/music to show up in the dash, but I know...

I was also a bit confused at first. I believe the allen is to install the stud. You then put the nut on with a 19mm. I do wonder if you can fit a 19mm impact socket in with OEM wheels. I'm guessing...

JB1 does not have the OBD2 connector correct? I don't think you'll be able to use it to clear your CEL. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe JB4 with the firmware from a few months ago(NOT...

As much as I wanted to, I couldn't justify the price of wrapping the entire car. The two other places I did add though is a strip on the top of the back bumper where the hatch closes and the door...

If you only want to log a couple things and not very often, OBD11 can definitely do it. I always felt like it took FOREVER to get anything decent set up though. My biggest complaint is that I don't...

Having done a ton on both a mk7 and mk6 R with OBD11 I agree almost completely. I've run into nothing I couldn't do and can usually adapt any VCDS instructions to work with OBD11. The one exception...

It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how the heck those wheels were oriented in your picture. Without the car in the background to use as reference I'm not sure I would have been able...

I think I see what you're talking about with the centering if I'm actively looking for it, but don't notice it at all when driving. I definitely had to tap it in. It was super tight (no pun intended...

I got the Dieselgeek super pin installed along with the shifter shaft bushings (because why not?) last night. Overall the process wasn't too bad with Bryce Jordan's great video, though I did break...

Ah that makes sense! You got me a little excited for a minute. As much as I like the Sigma 6, if you already have the end link bushings you may want to just get something like APR's kit. I'd...

Funny you should say that. Watching him do his is what finally convinced me to pull the trigger on it. Great resource! You were able to do it without pulling the entire console though?

I've gotten a few questions about the exhaust and intake. Both were on the car when I originally bought it so I think they have around 60k miles on them. I ran the car with them until I sold it and...

I just ordered mine on Saturday and hope to be able to install it this weekend if it comes in time. I've read/watched a few guides, but any additional tips you'd give for taking everything apart?...

Different car obviously, but I had the SuperPro control arms on my Mk6 Golf R. I had them align to factory specs and never had any issues. I imagine it'll be the same for this car.

I have absolutely nothing useful to contribute as electronics are way outside my comfort zone, but wanted to say keep it up! This looks really interesting and promising.

This is the same behavior I've experienced as well. Both in my 2018 and back in my 2013 R. The one exception for me was when the battery in my MK6 key fob was low and it ended up locking in the hatch.
