2005 ZX4 SE
2005 ZX4 ST
The interior looks almost exactly like the Ford C-MAX, which is using the new C1 chassis. To me it almost looks like the Focus I chassis, but with a refresh and the new C1 interior.
The back-end doesn't look at that great IMO.

Probably, because that's exactly what it is.
Yarp or narp?
Bah. The front and rear changes aren't bad, but they make it look a little less distinctive than before.
I hate the new interior! While the old one may have been a little over-the-top, it at least had some style to it. This one could be a dashboard from any econobox made by any manufacturer.

Pics of the hatches? That's what we *really* want to see.
A 2.3L ZX3/5 is on my shortlist for my next car.

Yeah, there's a lot of Civic in that center console treatment. Kinda blah. Of course, maybe we're griping because it doesn't look just like a Jetta.
ClownCar, where'd you find these? Are there more? I think I may like it, not as much as I'd probably like the all new Focus everyone else in the world is getting, but considering Car and Driver still has it as the only compact car on the 10 Best list, I think Ford still has a contender here.

Ford has 2 new sedans coming soon, and neither one is a Mondeo. The Contour failed, and Ford thinks the Mondeo would also.
Is Europe getting this update also? This look blends in with Fords European line. It seems strange they would give the American an update that blends with the European line and give Europe an all new vehicle... what's the point of the freshening? (I know to tide the vehicle over... but I'm just curious as to why the made it like they did... perhaps the C-MAX is coming over to compete with PT Cruiser?)

Well, not exactly:
"Of course that's just my opinion; I could be wrong."

This body + 2.3 Duratec engine + SVT suspension would rule... Though, I think I'd rather have a Mazda 3.
Still, the Focus, even though it's the older chassis, will have two things over the 3: a 3 door hatch bodystyle and a lower price.
