How much have you trained your B-spec driver on oval tracks? If he has no training on those tracks and you don't watch him then he'll suck pretty bad.

you can train him? hahah I didn't even know B-spec existed until you guys mentioned it...I was doing it all myself. Ohh boy..
I guess by training him, you just put him in lots of races?
Also, if you don't hit the pit button, will he eventually pit?
My B-sped is now at 1200...what is everyone elses at?
      I have lots of questions

I have found that although he can "do" everything by himself if you sit there during his races and tell him when to push or back off, etc. he will learn MUCH faster and actually not suck @ss. I sat through a lot of my B-spec drivers races and told him how to drive, push, pass, pit etc and now he's pretty much a beast and drives very similar to the way I do although he doesn't quite push as hard as I do. It's time consuming, but you'll reap the rewards for doing it.
Sry I haven't done much driving lately but I've been playing Fight Night Round 3 and Gears of War with some of my friends I haven't hung with in a while now.

Looks like it's been a while since this thread was active. And since I'm now strongly considering the purchase of a used 01-02 Boxster S, I had to get some laps in on GT4 of course! C'mon, I know I'm not the only one who does the virtual GT4 test drive lol!
The closest car possible is the Ruf 3400 in GT4. And to make up for the differential in the two models, I used Arcade mode and reduced the power until it read 250 like the production Boxster S. I did choose soft tires.

      1:46.x
Best I could put together in 5 consecutive laps. I'm no GT4 wizard, but it's a respectable time I think for 5 laps.
I know there must be a few people left in here that have PS2's and GT4... any challengers?

I'll have a go tonight. Ruf 3400, arcade mode, 250hp, Seattle circuit. Not sure about the tires... are they sports soft?

That's what I chose. Can you get a better time out of the harder tires?

I could only manage a 1:49:xx... It was a pretty untidy lap too, as I was racing instead of doing a time trial. I'll try again tonight if I have time.

There's maybe a couple tenths of a second in there, but this is what I got...
