it depends on a lot of things like how bad your clear is, and how quickly you work. It may sound strange, but i took a razor blade to almost my whole car and got all the clear off in about a day and a half, minus a few odd body lines that just canít be worked with a razor. My clear was so bad it peeled off in sheets. Even less time if you have a few buddies help, just donít forget the beer

This is a ďrush jobĒ as iím trying to prep the car to go to ocean city next week, and can only work during the day after work or on weekends. My total time with the car being down will be three weeks-ish, maybe a little less. Iím also doing most of it myself. If you want to do it really well, and only have yourself to do it, iíd say 2-4 weeks down. Only because there are so many variables that go into it.

Took it to the track with the Delrin engine/tranny VF mount inserts in an effort to shake down before my next event.... wheeeewww those are intense, love the connected feeling but had a few weird issues.

Namely, during my second session I noticed my ABS light come on and then my oil temp and oil pressure senders went crazy. Not sure if it's connected to the mounts or not, but was the only thing I changed. Ended up pitting early since my oil pressure was maxed on the gauge(past 100psi) and the oil temp was at 0degF. Pulled the car into the grid and turned it off and back on, ABS light was off but gauges still out of whack... gave it 5min and started again, everything back to normal -pressure and temp as expected.

Third session I noticed it happened again after about 5-6 laps but said f it and kept pushing, ended up setting a PR and didn't notice any "feel" issues. Same thing, gave it 5 min off track and everything came back.

I don't know if I'm screwing up the grounds, if the vibration is causing interference on the wires or what. Very strange that it stays that way for a bit, these senders are independent of the ecu. Also no codes for ABS

I occasionally get my ABS light going of (and with my litke clutser yelling at me about something) when I am doing aggressive mountain driving...same case as you that when I turn the car off and back on it goes away....I've never been able to figure out why it happens, but speculate it has something to do with a wheel speed mismatch or something like that...

Interesting. Yes I've never seen it before. Have done this track and config ~20 times so started pointing the finger at the mounts. IDK.

I tried Delrin mounts once... for 2 minutes around the block and then promptly pulled them out. Nope nope nope. Given my car was also primarily a track car at that point I still did not think they were a good idea, the harmonics are engines make are not conducive to Delrin. I think unless the car is a dedicated race car on stand alone Delrin mounts are bad news. Besides, in a stock chassis there isn't much to gain beyond say stiff poly. Good luck!

Thanks as always sir, I think that's my conclusion as well. Already picked up a new set of poly from James on here but just thought I'd better try the delrin on track before I swap back. Don't think it's worth it.

NOW THAT BEING SAID, or maybe FORGET EVERYTHING WE JUST SAID.... I have a barely used/like new set of VF Delrin Inserts for Sale!!!! PM Me

^^^^^Been rocking my 4MOTION badge on the right side rear for the last 12 years.... Even rocking one on my MK6 Golf.:R.

Got the OK from the shop that the engine is A OK and most importantly the clutch is all broken in and she is ready to be ripped on.... SO I DID!! Been farting around under 4K for 750 miles to break in. We'll I opened her up and HOLY $4!+... This thing is a monster and when the taps are opened up WOW!!! Everything cams, LWFW, PP, PP manifolds, intake, exhaust and more straight took my soul I was that moved. The tubular control arms and LSD make her razor sharp on turn in and she holds grip in corners like no one's business. Can't wait for my next track day!

Yeah I know, it sounds like a 73 roadrunner.

No cams. This was literally the first start and everything was settling out. But it does sound lopey AF.

On another note:I need to change out the master cylinder today.

I wasn't able to put it in gear(any gear)
I was able to bleed the clutch fine, but still, no joy. At 200 on the clock and most likely the OEM MC, and the addition of a Stage 3 clutch, I think it just isnt up to the task.

I'd like to get all the bugs worked out for H2Oi OCMD. Unfortunately, no boost because I'll still be breaking her in...

You probably know better what you need to do than I, but I had that same problem and my slave cylinder was completely broken inside the transmission. Something else that it might be....

Sounds sooo mean. I love it. I want to do cams and keep it NA for a while.. impressive with a high mileage car

      Perfect statement.

The pucker factor in the room was to the nines. Not that the build was shoddy, its just that unknown with a build from the engine carcass up. But thanks!!

clear coat has some fisheyes but since iím going to MD Wednesday itíll have to wait before I address them.
Today I installed fresh new tail lights, new LED side markers, badgeless grille, finished up some odds and ends, tomorrow will be adjusting suspension to fit new wheels, maxton design kit, CAI, give it a light wash, and if I have time new steering angle sensor.
