Here's a couple shots of the '02 GLX V6 4mo that I used to own. I installed ST coils, A8 front brakes, and even though they weren't 100% my style I found a forged set of 18" DPEs on Craigslist for $400, IIRC. Not a huge fan of the polished look but for that price I couldn't let them escape. Turned out decent...

I sold that car years ago, but I always kept an eye out for a B5.5 1.8T 4mo 5 speed WAGON and I finally found a good one!

I've got some serious plans for this thing....mechanically it's pretty sound and I've started researching/planning the Big Turbo setup which I hope to have done by this coming summer. That and either a top-shelf Cup Kit (thinking H&R/Bilstein) or a midrange set of coils followed by some new wheels/tires.....

Problem is that I have only driven about 1K in the last 21 months. Even the Tiguan has had only 3K put on it in last 15 months. I don't see that changing much in at least a year or two. I still have to decide about the built 2.0T, GTX2863 and Frankenturbo. I've had it apart for 3 weeks due to back problems (pinched nerves) while working on the alternator, upper control arm plate and oil change. I don't know if I am up for much more than that.
