IMO watch them in chronological order, not release.

Scene by scene is maybe too much unless you are a big marvel nerd, but there are some things throughout that do overlap because they happen concurrently.

This is the chrono order that we recently watched the MCU.

      Marvel Movie watch order (https://www.amctheatres.com/amc-scen...ewatch-the-mcu)
MCU 01 - Captain America 1: The First Avenger (starts during WWII, 1940's)
MCU 02 - Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995)
MCU 03 - Iron Man (takes place in 2008-2010, Howard Stark legacy and SHIELD intro)
MCU 04 - Iron Man 2 (after Iron Man)
MCU 05 - The Incredible Hulk (pre-Avengers, Stark already working for SHIELD)
      MCU 06 - Thor 1time unspecified, pre-Avengers)
MCU 07 - The Avengers 1 / Avengers Assemble (after Thor, Loki intro)
      MCU 08 - Thor 2: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron, intro Infinity Stones)
MCU 09 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 (after The Collector intro in Thor DW, more Infinity Stones)
MCU 10 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians, just a few months later)
MCU 11 - Iron Man 3 (at least six months after The Avengers)
MCU 12 - Captain America 2: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron, concurrent to IM3?, intro Falcon)
MCU 13 - Avengers 2: Age of Ultron (after Iron Man3, another Infinity Stone)
      MCU 14 - Ant-Man (talks about Ultron/Sokovia, )
      MCU 15 - Captain America 3: Civil War (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War, tie in to Ant-Man credits, )
MCU 16 - Black Panther 1 (Civil War intro Black Panther)
      MCU 17 - Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-Civil War, pre-Infinity War)
MCU 18 - Doctor Strange (takes place in 2016, pre Ragnarok)
      MCU 19 - Thor 3: Ragnarok (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War, Dr Stange cameo)
MCU 20 - Ant-Man and The Wasp (because of the "snap" end credits, seems like it should be before IW)
MCU 21 - Avengers 3: Infinity War (takes place in 2017)
      MCU 22 - Avengers 4: Endgame (starts in 2017, finishes in 2022)
      MCU 23 - Spider-Man: Far From Home (post-Endgame)

The storytelling trope is getting old. There were some dark comedy bits that were funny. Colin's part was pretty funny. Gross, but funny.

Watched this the other night with my wife. It was alright. Not great, not terrible.

So do we ignore the earlier Spiderman movies as they are Sony and even Deadpool as they were Fox and now Disney/Marvel?

Yes. The Tobey & Andrew Spider-Man movies aren't part of the MCU.

Deadpool, however, *slightly* orbits the MCU. It falls after CA: The Winter Soldier.
