Mortal Engines - fell asleep, got bored with it, have no idea what the hell is up with the story other than the scar girl wants to kill Mr. Smith.
IO - turned it off after about 15 minutes. Read a hilarious (unintentional) review of the movie by an environmental engineer.

Sounds like a perfect movie to "watch" while working, thanks!

PS: I always call him "Agent Smith" when I see him other movies too

not so much review as CSB.

1963 French with Jack Palance, Bridgett Bardot, and Fritz Lang....French movie about the decline of the Italian film industry. You can imagine it.

It was on TCM so the host came out and mentioned how it's not your typical role for Bridget Bardot and how her sexuality was toned down. He then went on to say when they screened it for the producer he wasn't happy which is why the prologue was added on. The movie starts with a 10 minute scene of Bridgett laying face down naked on a bed having an existential (or inane depending on your POV) conversation about beauty.
I mentioned to Mrs Mud after that scene was over that IDK if it added anything to the movie but it certainly didn't detract from it.

I watched Sweet Sixteen last night. Found it interesting as it's generally where I'm from and cool to see it on the screen. It's quite of its time, yet still relevant and true to the type of life it portrays.

      Strangely compelling. 7.5/10 for me.

Ha! Just ran across this movie on Netflix.
Its been a very long time so I was going to watch because nostalgia but quickly realized that I totally wasn't in the mood for the typical 90's blockbuster's OOOOHHH.MYYYYY.GODDDD. so I kept it moving.

      Rambo: Last Blood (2019) - 3/10

A formulaic revenge thriller that is watchable, but has little to recommend.

Joker (2019) - I loved it. Joker is my favorite comic book villain but this would have been a great movie even if it were not part of the DC/Batman universe and just a story about some random deranged dude (it reminds me a lot of Taxi Driver from 40+ years ago, which also stars Robert De Niro). Joaquin Phoenix should receive numerous accolades for his acting - his Joker is uniquely his own and his laugh is brilliant. Great cinematography and score as well.

Joker. My only non-spoilery review and thoughts for now are a very strong...thumbs up!
